Remarks
Great for making friends and small college means more interaction with people. We consider ourselves as a family. The campus don't have any playing courts or anything also there is a lack of men's hostel.
Course Curriculum Overview
Kinda outdated curriculum with unnecessary topics, even though the university is making a lot of changes in the curriculum every year it's still outdat. The students are put on to study.unneccessary things. Anyway the curriculum is improving every year. Exams are conducted at the end of every semester(roughly 4-5 months). My b.tech course consists of 8 semesters(4 years).
Placement Experience
The placement rates are high , usually only IT companies approach the college for conducting placements. Almost all of the students who are interested in IT get placed easily but same not goes for other students.Since this is a government college , everything is almost controlled by the student , internship is rarely provided by the college they may collaborate with tech companies to source internships to us.
College Events
The college is very famous for the variety of events the college students organises.Different societies like IEDC, IEEE , and also social ngo m's conduct workshops , classes ,etc almost everyday. There are also one technical fest named 42 and a big college event called Aagneya which is organised by the college students(only) where different students from different colleges participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible since this is a government funded college. It costs around 8000 per annum( exam fees extra). If anyone cannot afford the fees government have made scholarship programs for economically backward students.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't have yet availed any scholarship ,but the government of Kerala is providing scholarships for backward cast students and poor students as well as top 3 rank holders in a class(upon admission). There's also many scholarship programs in collaboration with various societies like IEEE.
Campus Life
There are good lab facilities available (obviously not top notch level). On the other hand the college lacks playground and courts for sports activities ,even though this is an government college. There are many groups and clubs we can join to improve our skills which are super helpful.
Hostel Facilities
Iam living in a hostel outside the college campus. The rates are nominal ,it costs around 4500 per month. The facilities are just below average although we get used to it after sometime. There are many private hostels around the college with different prices that may change with facilities provided.
Alumni/Alumna
Really good alumni network , and the alumni's are always willing to help and sometimes come to our college for sharing their experiences with us ,they are super helpful. There are many awesome, they have much better experience with their on fields like organising events in college ,designing, coding, etc.Although they may appear frightening at first ,they turn out to be the best part of college life.
Admission
I wrote Kerala engineering entrance exam , and got a rank of around 10000 ,I applied for allotment in many colleges and different branches and got a seat in this college, selection process was done on the basis of rank.
Faculty
Faculty have great qualifications ,most of them are graduates from IITs and NITs.Almost all of them are very friendly and helpful. But the faculties are unable to unlock Thier full potential due to the curriculum provided that they have to follow.
