Course Curriculum Overview

The course is pretty good and not hectic as such. My college conducts 2 exams in one semester. The first one carries 15 marks and the second one carries 75 marks and rest 10 marks are based on class assignment and attendance and student's behaviour. If you prepare well for the 15 marks exam then it's really easy to get full.

Placement Experience

The placements are fair enough if I talk mainly about my course and yeah, students get internships on 2nd year of college and the Stipend ranges between 2K - 6k depending upon the company.

College Events

I am so glad to answer this one as our college events are really great. Firstly it's freshers party in the beginning of the semester where all the students are invited immaterial whether the student is a fresher or not. Second comes the "Zest" Which basically is a competition between all the JIMS and i must say it's always great then there's anugoonj and our personal college fest also but it doesn't happen every year but yeah, every alternative year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I won't call it feasible because one cannot count 1 lakh rupees as a small amount but also, I want to add that the college is worth it. It has a good crowd and helping teachers. AC and smartboard classrooms. CR's and AR's have to give feedback about the infrastructure every week and the next day the problem goes away so, overall the fees are not high according to the amenities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarship to students but I do not have much knowledge about it so, I cannot say much on that but I am certain that it does provide scholarships.

Campus Life

The campus is in south Delhi and hence gives Ampleful of great options to explore. The difference is approx 10 more boys in class but it's easily adjustable. The college provides loads of opportunities to students and there are societies for students to brush the skills. The Workshops happen often here.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful and so interactive and cool. No need to hesitate before asking anything from them. They will try to give the best advice.

Admission

I gave entrance exam to get into the college and based on the marks, ranks were given which helped in allotment of colleges. The main IP university assigns the college-based the rank and that's how I got this college. I am doing b.com Hons because I always wanted to go for this course and also I don't regret the decision I made. After all, the course is good.

Faculty

The best thing about our college is the faculty and I cannot agree more on this. Faculty is so helping and supporting. They teach very well and have a good experience in teaching. The CC's are always the first one to approach in case of any problem.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I hdd 90.89 percentile in my CAT 2024 and 93.18 percentile in XAT 2025. These are very good scores and make a candidate like me eligible for top B-schools. The eligibility of the course is to have 50% minimum marks in your undergraduate. The application form, fees, and any other information regarding admission are available on thier admission portal.
