Remarks

One of the negatives on our college is the lack of a college ground for playing.If that can be adjusted our college can be a perfect college.Our college is one of the best colleges on kerala.It has the best results on every engineering college on kerala.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am very satisfied with the course curriculum.The exam structure is also very flexible and comfortable for students to score better marks. The course consist of better subjects and it will help us to gain knowledge about all areas on mechanical engineering

Placement Experience

Our college has a lot of opportunities for passouts and to be passouts for securing there future by joining a company. A lot of company came for recruiting freshers on our college.From that i had the opportunity to secure my future also by selected for working for TCS(EIS)

College Events

Onam the most important festival of kerala is celebrated on our college.Halloween day,Holi,Christmas,Kerala piravi etc festivals are celebrated on our college.Also freshers day an event for newly come 1st years are celebrated.Arts festival is also celebrated on our college.The main attraction of our college is our biggest festival our college's CULT A WAY

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of our college is just right. For students who got the ability to attain great marks on entrance exam need only to pay 35000 per year.Management quota need only 65000 to be payed.Both merit and management fee structure is satisfiyed by students

Fees and Financial Aid

I am availing fee faviour scheme for over 4 times.I was one of the top ranks on my class on the entrance exam.So for 3 people who have the top rank on the class will have the offer to reduce there fee.So i dont need to pay my fees

Lab facilities are very good on our college,we have a bmw's engine on our college for students to understand the working of bmw engine.Extra curricular activities are very much promoted by our college.I am playing for every cricket tournaments arranged by our college mates.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very much helpful for us.They will help us to select the electives ro be opted.Senior passouts helps us for our placements and how to approach an interview and secure a job.They also help us to coordinate our college events

Admission

I got my admission by scoring better rank on entrance exam (keam).I put sree chitra thirunal college as 2nd option on my allotment.I got it on 1st allotment. When i entered my college there was an orientation program in which prakash u sir explained about all the selection process,our college details and programs and all placement opurtunities.

Faculty

Our faculty's are one of the best facultys on the entire country i think.For me they have a wide knowledge in all sectors not only engineering. They are also very pleasent behaviour and encourage questions and doubts raised by students.So i am comfortable with them

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the third semester onwards. Toward the end of the third semester, companies start to approach you based on your cgpa and SGPA. If you have good marks stipend is provided.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. Students can also join this college by nri quota without any entrance exam by giving more fees.I got admission in ece in sctce in the keam 1st allotment itself....Read More

A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
