Remarks

Good atmosphere for studying and developing the personal. And also startups incubator are also there for starting startups ideas. Low infrastructure is the only negative found in the college. Government owned colleges will have a low infrastructure when compared with the private colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

Good structure of course and the curriculum is also very much good for the development of the student. A total of 56 exams and more than 120 series exams with so many assignments. And course project and viva is also there

Placement Experience

Placement by centralised placement board by the college board. In which the all the students from the colleges under the governing board are competed and the better one will be placed. Internships are not provided here

College Events

College day,union day,arts,onam celebration,Christmas celebrations,holi and many more are celebrated here. Also many more events are there for the students like fresher's day, farewell. And women's day celebration

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is approved by the government of kerala. And also not so expensive if admitted by merit list. If by NRI quota then its expensive like 1 lakh for 1 yr. And 35000 for merit listed and 65000 for management quota

Loans are by the banks and college provides all the necessary guidelines to be followed. And for the scholarship also college will notifies the students and gives them right guide lines go availing the same

Campus Life

Low infrastructure for sports when compared with other colleges but its the best. Athletics and games are conducted yearly and the competition is between departments. Arts fest is also conducted yearly as arts day. On stage and off stage competition are there

Alumni/Alumna

Always helpful for any student of the college. Alumni network is started 2 years back and functions are good. Very much helpful and always there for the goods and any programs in the college and related.

Admission

Through KEAM Entrance Exam and Merit List was published. Allotment process by the Exam Board. Once the entrance exam was written and then the result and merit list was published by the Exam board, the candidates are given to select options for course and college. After giving options exam board will allot college and course according to merit list.

Excellent and have a good experienced faculty for the development of student. Also there are some guest professor facility is also available which is also good for fresh and new teaching styles to be promoted

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

The college is over all good and is building up two new buildings. One of the main draw back is we dont have a good play ground as the back side of college is a wetland and it is illegal and not possible to clear the land for ground.
