College Review of JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

I have both positive and negative remarks about my college where positives are most and negatives are less. positive remarks is that the environment of our college is so good. The college is neat and clean. All the facilities are acceptable. But there is some Cons. also One is the class timing - our college starts from 9:30 AM and ends at 5:30 PM. But there are 1 or two days in a week that there are huge gap between two classes.

My opinion on this course curriculum is quite good.You will learn all the basics subjects that you have to learn under the course of Computer Science and Engineering.Basic for Curriculum is as a CSE student you have to learn Data Structure and Algorithms follwed by,any programming language with OOPS and later on you will learn different subjects like Cryptography basics,Data analytics basic,Web technology etc.

When I took admission in this college they told me that this year means 2016 passouts among them 80% students were placed in top it companies in India. Now I am in final year of my engineering and there are near about 20 companies came to our college for recruitment.

There are lots Event happens in our college through out a year. At the beginning of session there is an interactive Session with the new Students. So they can feel Comfortable. The Duration of this session is for 1 week after that there are lots of fests like cultural fest, Orientation program, all the pujas like Saraswati puja, Viswakarma puja, occasion on Rabindra jayanti, Gurunanak Birthday etc.

Basically I am studying in this college Under TFW. So I don't have to pay the tution fees in every semester. There only three Seats per department under this TFW(Tution Fee Waiver). But the other student have to pay near about 44000 as their semester fee including book bank and others.

The Students who belongs to SC or ST or OBC they got Scholarship. Except that there are so many scholar ships that are provided by College and these are Swami Vivekananda MCM Scholarship, AIKYASHREE Scholarship, CHARPAK EXCHANGE SCHOLARSHIP, Aikyashree (Minority) Scholarship etc.

The are lots of extracurricular activities happend in college like tree plantation Program, Health camp, Gaming Competition, Photography Competition, essay Competition, Debate Competition. Actually There is separate Club or for each of this activities. The lab Facility provided by college is also good. There is also a student Chapter of CSI in our college.

The alumni network in our college is very strong. Every year our alumni network is getting higher and higher. There is an even where we can interract our Alumnies. This happend twice in a year.The senior Students are very good and supportive.The helped us lot to choose right path.

Actually ,I Got admission in this college By clearing West Bengal joint Entrance Examination on 2016.1st i appeared in this Entrance Examination , and secured a rank which is 8705.According to my rank i have to choose colleges and Department I choose so many colleges but I choose only one department that want to go for which i Computer Science and Engineering.After that they or the joint entrance board gave me this college according to my rank under TFW. Then goto the college for Physical verification and that's all.

My opinion on faculty is very Good. In the 1st year you have to learn subjects like Engineering Mathematics, Physic, Chemistry etc so in the 1st year it is not possible easily to interact with your own department faculties.But the Other department Faculties are also very good.After that in 2nd to 4th year you are under your own department and the faculties are very friendly and very interactive with students. They helps to solve so many problems that i have faced in college life and so on.
