One of the best college in Odisha

College infrastructure is very good. Hostel life is awesome inside the campus. Eletricity, wifi and water supply are present all the time. One room can have one to three students depending on the room size and hostel deaign. Playground, basketball court, volleyball courts and gym are also present inside the campus.

I choose to go with Bachelor of technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering branch. Course was according to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology standard. It consists of 8 semesters, with different credits mentioned for each subjects and practicals.

Placement was average at our time. Infosys is the mass recruiter in this college and recruits around 50-100 students. In our batch the number was very less. Apart from Infosys, other good companies like Wipro, Adani, etc also come for recruitment. However in our batch the placement was less due to recession. Over the years it has been improved a lot.

There are many events get organized in this college in every 1-2 months. Techch fest, annual cultural function, annual sports, basketball tournament, volleyball tournament, hacking workshop, PCB design workshop, international seminar on various topics, etc.

Fees have been increased drastically in last couple of due to the increased reputation of this college. However comparatively it is feasible. Now the tution fees and hostel fees are in total approximately 1.5 LPA.

Merit cum means scholarship was being provided, but that was from the state government, not from the college. There may be other scholarships got introduced after we passed out. But I am not aware of any.

In this college, many labs are present. Departmental labs are very good. 760 computer are present in 5 labs and one digital library also present. One big playground is there. Gym is also present inside the campus.

Alumus are very helpfull and also very good.Mainly our seniors behave like friends. They are well connected with the college through online alumni networks. They directly contact our students for the process of placement and many other things.

I appeared for OJEE entrance examination after passing out my 12th. In 2009, this entrance examination consisted of 3 papers. Those are Physics, Chemistry and mathematics. In the counseling process I got an opportunity to get admission in GITA.

Faculties were great. They were dedicated, knowledgeable and very helpful. Some of them were so concerned about the performance of the students that even after the college hours, they were taking classes for GATE aspirants. Some of them were giving extra times out side class for the doubt clearing of the students.
