Remarks
Positive, the college has good potential and I hope the students will continue to better in the future. There are many things that we already have achieved as a tier 3 college. Everyone here is enthusiast about the outside world. If seriously taken care this college could challenge some big boys out there in Kolkata.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good. The syllabus is just changed. So the studying process has also changed. There is a lack of good classes though. And the exam structure is just like other colleges. Two semesters and 2 class tests.
Placement Experience
The placement is good. TCS is a mass recruiter so it takes a lot many students. But then again students from this college are now professors and research scholars in top universities around the world. And the college do help students to go for internships. Overall experience is not so bad and not so good. Let's hope the situation gets more better. The students are seriously good as they go for solo internships themselves.
College Events
There are so many clubs. 1. The technical clubs such as GNX, Phoenix, Codechef organise regular bootcamps for motivating and spreading knowledge about the world. 2. Cultural club such as ROTARACT and many more helps to spread the cultural flow among the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible. Per semester it's 42k. That being said it's 7k per month and 3 lakh 50k for four years to complete b.tech. It's a feasible price in Kolkata and for a good college to complete the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a loan facility which is provided by PNB Bank. It's given to the students of serious needs. One has to talk to the Principal and if he or she allows then one can opt for this loan facility. In this way the student is benefited and he can continue his studies.
Campus Life
The labs are quite good and spacious. Apparatus are good. All the labs (physics, chemistry, electrical, electronics, biomedical and etc.) are there. Sport event happens every year. It is named "Zest". There every student can take part and earn some good scores with certificates. All this extracurricular activities are good and benefitial for students.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is good. Some of the alumni are posted on top ranks on various organizations. They come to college to take sessions sometimes. The seniors are also great. Very few college has this kind of enthusiastic seniors. They always boost us up. Blessed to have this group of seniors.
Admission
1.WBJEE rank. 2.JEE Mains rank. 3.Direct admission on basis of rank. 4.And BBA BCA can also apply directly. After getting the ranks on individual exams one has to select this college in the online process. And then on the mentioned date he or she has to come to college for pursuing that seat. This whole process is managed by West Bengal Board.
Faculty
The faculty is good to some extent. But a serious lack of good classes. This college has some seriously good students who can be put to good use. Despite the teachers classes, we as students organise a lot many bootcamps, extra classes and many more things. In a nutshell the faculty should be more devoted to put this students to good use. They have to push the innovation in these students' minds.
