My views

Our college is pretty much good in academics and extra curricular activities. But the college authorities are not that good in promoting extra curricular activities. They are keen on academics only. But they are not able to provide good faculties though.

There is too much for a student to study in a small time period. We will only get around 50 full working days in a semester. Completing the whole portion is a task for both the teachers and the students. Exams will be held in every semesters. There are a total of 8 semesters.

Placements are pretty high in our college. Some of the branches have almost 100% placement. Branches such as Safety and Fire Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology are the courses offering more placements. Our college doesn't provide any internship opportunities.

Onam is the cultural celebration of Kerala. It is celebrated elaborately in our college. There will be procession and different competitions held in the event. The competition will be branch wise Holi is also celebrated in our college since our college has about 40% students from north India.

We are forced to pay pretty much high fee. Fee has to be paid for every semester seperately. There are different sections of fees according to the rank we got in entrance exam, which can be called as state merit, all india merit and NRI quota

Our college offers scholarships such as egrantz, which is a program of state government which gives money to socially and economically backward students Another scholarship is Hridayapaksham which is an initiative by some aluminies of our college.

Our college is very good at extra curricular activities. Lab facilities are pretty decent. There are also events like sports and arts seperately for our college and there is University level competition for both of these. Also there will be certain independent competitions for sports items as well.

Aluminies are very much helpful. They provide us scholarship. They help in our academic activities as well as provide support in our extra curricular activities also. They gives us tution during exam days and provides us previous year question papers also.

I attended the entrance exam of CUSAT l, which is named as Common Admission Test (CAT). I registered for civil engineering course and got alloted. I was asked to come to University for certificate verification. After verifying and paying the fees, my admission process was completed.

Some of the faculities are pretty good in our college. But some of them are poor in terms of knowledge and teaching skills. Some faculties use internal marks as a weapon for their personal vengeance against students.
