Remarks
No negative remarks. I loved my college during my studies. Since it's a govt run college nobody is pressurising you do anything. But then also the overall academic results of the college was superb.
Course Curriculum Overview
Previously college was under Kerala university and now it's under abdul kalam technical university. Courses offered in the college are mechanical , automobile , electronics and communication , bio technology etc.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are high in the college compared to private colleges. I was placed through campus placement interviews held when I was in the 7 the semester of my studies, a lot of students also get placed every year.
College Events
All the main celebrations like Onam , Christmas , indipendance day, etc are celebrated in our college. Mainly Onam, we will have 'sadya' in our college and various games and programs on that day.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The merit seat fees are feasible, NRI and management seat fees are bit expensive so better write the entrance exam to get placed. NRI and management seats does not require entrance exam score to get admission.
Fees and Financial Aid
We will get lots of state govt scholarships and central govt. Scholorships in our college. Namely central sector scholarship that we will get from our 1st year of study. The scholorship was around 10k per year.
Campus Life
We had a sports day in our college. Where we can compete in different sports like football , cricket etc and all the department has laboratory facilities. Like mechanical lab , automobile lab , electrical lab etc.
Hostel Facilities
We don't have a hostel facility provided by the college but ladies do have, we usualy look for a paying guest facility near the college for staying, later we moved to a rented house. Which is also a way to stay.
Alumni/Alumna
We have a very active alumini association in our college. They are very helpful in various things. For example alumini association had a photo copy centre in our college from where we can get cheap photocopies and print outs.
Admission
Wrote the Kerala state engineering entrance exam and got admission based on the rank. My rank was around 6k so got admission for the mechanical branch. There are other options also like NRI seats and management seats.
Faculty
We had a very good faculty in Sct college for all the departments. All the lecturers are experience and know what they do. We had different departments for mechanical , electronics , bio technology etc.
