My College My Experience

Everything we put to the notice of the management if its found to be genuine then its approved. Such a friendly management working for the welfare of the students and the staff can only be seen here in FISAT.

The course curriculum compared to other universities are much better. Students are allowed to have a relaxed and stress free atmosphere be in academic area. The exams consists of 2 internal exams conducted by the respective College and end semester examination conducted by the university itself the cumulative of the internal exam is taken and a sessional score is made out of it. Students should pass for the sessionals and an attendance of 75% in each subject is mandatory for writing university exam.

In the previous academic year CSE department of our college bagged the maximum number of placements and 98% of them are working. The remaining have opted for higher education in their area of interest. The department has signed an MOU with a coimbatore based IT company Xplore IT Corp which aims in providing quality industrial atmosphere and learning skills recently they arranged an industrial training for all students in our department. I have personally attended other internship and is currently working as an intern in a Trivandrum based start-up Quovadis Robosoftech as an Android Developer with a stipend of Rs 2000. I have had opportunity to organize classes and work as an internship trainee which in turn boosted my skills and public interaction.

The IEEE student chapter organises different programs in an year which are countless, after all in an year they conduct around 15+ events. The other events include technical fests, arts, sports, inter college events, inter and intra department events etc.

For an average student the fee structure is feasible considering the infrastructure and facilities provided by the college. Compared to other colleges in the city our college has the feasible fee. Students with academic capabilities are provided with scholarships as per the AICTE norms.

All the scholarships under the AICTE has been provided by our College. For example is the tuition fee weaver scheme which is to help those students who are financially backward but excellent in their academics.

Our Central Computing Facility (CCF) contains 12 computer labs fully equipped for any purpose it also consist of the first super computer in Kerala belonging to dakshina cluster series fully built in our campus itself. The sports and fitness center helps us tk be conscious of our health and well being, we have the most and finest ground which was recently given to Kerala Cricket Association on an agreement.

Yes I have opted for hostel. The hostel has the finest and enriched ambience for students to study and also for liesure the hostel mess provide the most delicious food in the outmost feasible rate which no other college hostel provides.

Its because of our alumni and seniors that we are able to shine in our college with their help and suggestions we mould ourselves to be the best of all. Alumnis refer us to those companies they are working and with the positive feedback they receive placements are increasing every year.

In 2017 by the end if January or at the beginning of February the Kerala entrance examination KEAM2017 was announced, i applied for the same through the registration portal uploaded the required documents like photograph with name signature and left thumb impression,this form was then taken printout and wad verified by my academic head. This was then enveloped along with my age proof and address proof which was self attested and this hard copy was sent to the office of controller of entrance examination. Based on the scrutiny of the documents the candidates are shortlisted and those eligible where given with hallticket for the examination. After the examination the marks were announced in a span of one month and students are allowed to enter their +2 marks in the portal after totalling the marks the ranks were allotted and then students where allowed to provide their options for different colleges. Based on the previous ranking and the ranking of the College the students were allotted in different phases of this procedure. Once a student is allotted to a college he or she should take the admission in that college and if they wish to be a part of the second phase they will have to wait, once you decide to take admission a Sum of Rs 10000 has to be paid in any SBI branches this would reflect in your College once your admission is complete.

The faculty of my department are extremely friendly and ready to help in anyways regarding academic or extracurricular activities. Such a support hasn't been received from any other department. As per the latest statistics our dept consist of 3 PhD holders and others with Snr grade.
