Remarks
There are only positives to say about our college.There is unexploited freedom in the air and constructive time for the students.Leisure activities and academics in a line makes our graduation go in a right and pleasant way.only negative to depict is the hostel and space,which is negotiable.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are 6 theory subjects and 2 labs/workshops from first semester to sixth,in 7th sem,6 subjects with seminar and project preliminary and 1 lab.In 8th sem,there are 4 theory subjects and Project.This is based on the old scheme of ktu,new scheme (from 2019 admissions) is a bit different.Two series tests will be conducted and one university exam in each semester.
Placement Experience
SCTCE is well known for its placement cell.Its very active and every year many students are getting jobs from the campus placement to reputed companies like TCS,Infosys, Tata elxsi,amazon etc.We have to do two internships during the course.
College Events
It is the main or the popular thing about our college.Almost every programmes or events are conducted by the students(us) ourselves.Main events include arts day,sports day,technical events and our prestigious cultural event 'Cult A Way' which is one of the biggest college fests in Kerala.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is based on the university criteria.As given above fee structure is divided as three,Government merit,Management,and NRI quota(Since our college is under the transport ministry of kerala KSRTC quota is also in the scene) 35000,75000 and 100000 fees for each seats respectively.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are loans available with the college.Since our college is under the board of directors from the transportation Ministry of kerala,there are special quotas and loans available based on that.Further details can be availed during the admission time.
Campus Life
There are labs in every semester as pointed above.All labs will be based on the courses they've selected so far.There are many extracurricular activities inside and outside the college like arts day.Unofficial and official sports events are conducted in every semesters.Arts fest,Techno-Cultural events,workshops,etc.are there.
Hostel Facilities
At present there are no hostels running by the college itself.But there is one for female students, a hostel under control of the college approx 500m away from the college.Many private paying hostels and rental houses are near the college.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni of our college conducts meet ups and other function every year.They are also so active and are contributing to the college also.Almost all of them are proud and happy to say about their alma mater.
Admission
After the final allotment (based on KEAM rank and plus two marks) I got notification from the college to join in a given date.There were instructions about the procedures to be followed during admission.Certain certificates and documents should be presented during admission.There are three types of fee structures,Government merit,Management*(based on KEAM ranking),and NRI quota.35000,75000 and 100000 respectively excluding university fees and other extra special fees.
Faculty
The faculties are well experienced and many have doctorates.They are helping and have good knowledge about their subjects in and out of the syllabus.We can approach at most everyone seeking help in academic issues or personal ones.
