Remarks

The college has good placements and academics but it lacks all round development of students. The students maybe technical good but might lack communication skills to showcase their talent. Physical education should also be introduced.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is very hectic and at the same time effective as it makes a student work hard and smart as well. The exam structure is 1)In semester evaluation 1 -10 marks 2)mid semester evaluation -30 3)In semester evaluation 2 -10 4)End semester evaluation-50

Placement Experience

4

Placements are excellent in this college and the reason for it's popularity is placements only. Internship is not provided by college but the students can take internships themselves. Often students who are placed are called on for internship with that same organisation

College Events

3

Annual social gathering WEST Yuvarang Vision Are some of the major events in the college. There are many more events related to sports, dance and curriculum as well. These events give opportunities to various students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite economical not too high not low. Considering all the services provided it's feasible. The hostel fees is also very feasible and can be afforded by almost all. The fee structure doesn't include expenses for trip , events and all so the students have to pay it themselves.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't provide any scholarship , it sponsored by the government. Depending on the category of the student the scholarship can be availed. The college provides funding for projects and other activities through the TEQUIP fund.

Campus Life

3.5

Sports is something that lacks in every college and same is over here. Sports is not highly promoted. But still there various games that can be played. I personally play football and have seen a rise in incoming players.

Hostel Facilities

3

Unfortunately the hostel is very poor. The rooms are not painted since decades and the bathrooms are rusted. Renovations have started but the progress is very slow. There are many problems like water leakage, mosquitoes, awful smell etc.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni provide funds and donations for events and activities. During the annual social gathering there is the alumni meet. In the meeting the students get a chance to interact with the other alumni regarding entrepreneurship and business.

Admission

The admission is done through entrance exams like MHCET and JEE. The cutoff varies every year. The MHCET cutoff was 150 for mechanical in the first round , the cutoff then drops subsequently. JEE students also need marks ranging from 100-200.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is experienced and skilled. But many of the teachers are inconsiderate about the students , they do not consider their situation. But all in all the teachers are helpful when needed but sometimes can be very strict.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
