Jai Hind College Mumbai, B.Com, Accounting And Finance

Remarks

Overall, the experience as a Jai Hind college was good and would recommend everyone.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Mumbai itself change your personality. And yes, being a student of the top college helps you to improve your personality. Every year there is an industrial visit organised by the college but near Mumbai only. The exam structure is different from other colleges as Jai hind college is now autonomous.

Placement Experience

4.5

KPMG, EY, ICICI BANK, TIME, ORACLE, etc. We have to join the class placement group then there is information available about everything. Almost every students who are interested for placements get placed.

College Events

3

There are many big events in which Jai hind college participate and win in almost every event. In Jai hind college, they have a different event for different departments. For BAF, BFM & BBI, Entourage is the event which happens in an alternate year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Jai hind college is affiliated with Mumbai University, and the fees charged are very less. College accepts the fees in cheques. There is 100 rupees application fees. So the education fees are less than 70,000 for 3 years. It is very feasible for all students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does provide scholarship to one student of each class in the college. There is a proper interview in which they select 3-4 children from each class and select one. The scholarship provided is 100% on one year fees.

Campus Life

3.5

The life in Jai Hind college is good. Talking about the gender ratio it was pretty equal in my class. The college has Sindhi quota so the college has more of Sindhis. Otherwise, Jai hind college is known for his crowd. They have the best crowd in the city. You can see it the foyer of the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Talking about the alumni, there was no interaction with our alumni. The seniors were quite helpful in events.

Admission

I opt for Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and finance. I have applied in May 2017 after my CBSE results were out. I came to Mumbai to fill the form from my hometown. Then I received the call from college for admission. I have chosen this college as per the recommendations by seniors.

Faculty

4.5

2-3 lectures a day with 6 days of college. Each lecture is 1 hour 40 minutes long. Some teachers are visiting faculty and some are permanent faculty. The course is of 3 years. In between, there are many guest seminars also. Teachers are good enough and you will understand the subject in the class itself.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
