No bad remarks. My college is the best college in state.

I took CAT I had a CAT Rank of 6844 Its near to my home and is an amazing college known all around the world.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is of IIT level and thus a bit difficult.

Internships Opportunities

But I have heard a lot about the internships offered at the college. Generally a great amount of stipend is offered.

Placement Experience

I don't really know about this as this is my first year here. But I have heard that a lot of placements are offered at the college.

College Events

The annual sports athletic meet was held at the university ground,CUSAT last week. Also a tech fest was also held at the college auditorium last month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not expensive its moderate its really feasible for a middle class family like me. And a number of scholarships are also provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes a number of good scholarships are provided by the the college. Also loan facility is also provided in the college.One that I applied is MOMA scholarship.

Campus Life

My opinion on campus life is that its just awesome. Extracurricular,labs,sports,competitions such as robotics,debates etc were conducted in a great manner. Gender ratio is 50:50 workshops are interesting.

Hostel Facilities

I would rate the hostel facilities and mess food with a 4/5. In case of hostels,hostels rooms are clean and mess is also great.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

I know a number of senior students in my college. They are quite friendly towards me and towards others also. The alumni network of CUSAT is just too awesome.

Exam Structure

The exams are scheduled as follows two internal exams followed by a university semester exam after each six months. No labs and exams doesn't leave a hectic day.

Faculty

Faculty of the college is awesome. Teachers are friendly and greatly experienced.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
