My whole three years were great

I don't find any disadvantages of being in this college. The campus itself covers all the cons one could have in this college. Everyone can chill, study, relax anywhere in this college unless and until you are a Somaiyan. Remember, 'Once a somaiyan, always a somaiyan!'

Being an autonomous college, the curriculum was structured in such a way that it suited the current trends. The syllabus was updated regularly in terms of the required skills needed in the industry after pass out. The overall experience was great with weekly practicals. Every year, they conducted industrial visits too to various locations mostly outside Maharashtra. It was great to experience such a life during college days itself!

Lot of companies came to our college including Wipro, Infosys, LnT, Capgemini, etc. These companies came during the last year of graduation and recruited students according to their expertise. There were 3 steps involved. The first step is an aptitude test, second is an HR round and third is the technical round. Upon qualifying these rounds, one would get placed in the companies. Almost every student was placed rightfully. The college helped a lot taking mock interviews before the actual placements and made sure no one was left behind.

There are various fests going at a time in our college. These fests starts mostly after Diwali. The main fest is PHOENIX, then we have ASMITA. Both these fests are culturally bound and celebrated every year with great joy and success. Other fests include Endurance, Symphony, Physica, Mathematica, etc.

The program fee varies according to the subjects we opt in. If we are doing a plain BSc, then fees are 10,000 for every year. If we are opting for BSc IT or CS, then their fees are 30,000 approx. Additional charges are the journal costs, college ID cost, and apron cost, etc.

The college offers scholarships mostly known as freeship to students. There are also scholarships for merit students. While reservation quota students has Mahatma Jyotirao Scholarship too.

The college boasts of equal gender ratio every year. Student diversity is the main thing one can see in this college. We can experience this diversity in various fests happening in college. Asmita fest is popular for it's cultural diversity. The significance is so high that various college students come to these fests just to see the diversity having its impact on today's youth. Also, there are various workshops conducted by each department throughout the year. Owing to the large campus, there are workshops going on everytime on various locations in the campus itself. Not only we have intra college competitions but various other inter college competitions like Youth fest takes place here.

The alumni network I guess is the best in this college. They have contributed a lot for the college. And they always stay in touch with the college with Alumni meets and reunion happening every year.

I got 68 percentage in my HSC board and through this, I got the admission. I applied for the college through registration and within a month they released their list wherein I got selected and took the admission by paying the appropriate fees and the college started after 15 days.

Each subject has a separate professor with having equivalent degrees. The teachings were great since they conducted not only theory lectures but also practicals and explained each topic with ease with proved their expertise in their respective subjects. They have great experience in their own field and are pioneer in their respective fields.
