Remarks

Overall the college experience was decent. The only problem is the low tolerance in terms of political preference and lack of support for extra-curricular activities. The faculty is helpful but only when it comes to topics related to academics. A lot of talent does not get a good platform due to lack of support.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum and exam structure is average since it's focused more on rote learning rather than practical applicability. It only makes the students ready for the industry theoretically. There is a lack of field visits and educational trips. But the curriculum required 8 weeks of industrial training as a necessity for completing the course, which introduced the students to the professional environment.

Placement Experience

3

The highest package offered is 20 LPA and the lowest package offered is 2.75 LPA. The average package is around 4.25 LPA. Various companies sent job profiles like D.E. Shaw, Amazon, TCS, Accenture, and many more. The company asks the candidates to apply. The process involves submitting their CV and answering a basic set of questions.

College Events

2

There is an annual cultural fest called Genesis which is organised every even semester and a photography fest called Chhayankan which is recognised as the biggest photography fest in Delhi. Numerous colleges from Delhi Collegiate cultural societies participate and perform in. Genesis hosts events related to music, theatre, dance, literary events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My programme base fee is 84800 per year. There are a few other charges which round it off to around 2.6-2.6 Lacs. The modes of payment accepted are NEFT, RTGS, Cheques and Debit Cards. A security deposit of 40000 is required by the College during the admission process which can be refunded in case the applicant decides to not join the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does not provide many scholarship opportunities. There are a few available but they are not widely promoted so there is a lack of awareness among the students. The eligibility is generally the Average scores of the children. Average sum ranges to about 50000. Overall the number of students who availed an education loan is unknown and believed to be very low.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is average. It mostly depends upon the kind of crowd one chooses to surround himself with. The cultural societies have some very talented and hard-working children but the College does not support them in terms of leniency in attendance or finances or motivation. The expenses are self-financed by the members.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is average. The seniors are helpful and supportive. If you are eager to talk, they are eager to help. College seniors have been helpful during competitions, exams, hangout points and various other elements which makes the campus life interesting and engaging. During the exam time, almost everyone relies on seniors for projects, assignments and notes. This gives the students an assurance that they have reliable companions in times of need.

Admission

I did not score so well in my senior secondary. Hence DU was not an option. I had been certain since a long while that I'm interested in commerce and wanted to pursue B.Com Hons. I heard a lot about GGSIPU from multiple sources. So I gave the IPU CET and got a rank of 426 which made me applicable for the top IPU colleges.

Faculty

3.5

The lectures range from 4-6 in a day. Each an hour long. The teachers range from roughly 27-28 years to 45-46 years old. The teaching method of each is slightly different and suits different students differently. The infrastructure is good which allows proper lab activities to be conducted. The lecturers were qualified and experienced, but the teaching method was mostly exam centric rather than learning-centric.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
