Nit Srinagar:Introduction

There are many positive things about the college. The college os situated in between the valley so natural beauty is more. There is lot of greenery in college also roads are well maintained with good lighting.

There is well defined syallabus and according to that the teaching is going on. Syallabus start at the prescribed time and also ends 10 to 15 days before the major exams.The exam are also conducted in part wise eg. Minor and major by that if your minor exam is not gne well you have to do your best in major exam.

Due to location concern and political disturbance most of the time the condition is not normal in this region so most of the companies denied to come in this college so placement is about 50-80% of core branches but other branches placement is about 30 to 50%. The stipend is not given by Institute for the internship to any student.

There are many events celebrated in this college. Last time techveganza also celebrated in this Institute. The annaual sport meet also held in which all branch times are participating in all games. Apart from that their is game on hostel basis which are conducted by students also. In all the year students go in other NIT's for inter nit games.

Fee structure is feasible in this college and it is according to your family income. And for sc and st the fees is about 5000 to 10000 rs per semester. If you live in the college hostel you have to pay for it. The hostel fee is about 15000 to 20000 rs ler semester.

I think there is no scholarship given by Institute for the students and student got the scholarship according to their respective state where they belong. Some students also got scholarship from the central government also.

Some lab are in good condition but some of the labs are not in good condition.Most of the apparatus are give the correct response but sone of that not give correct so errors also arrives in the experiments.

Hostel are in good condition their are geyser in the bathroom for hot water supply and rooms are well with internet connection also. there is playground and garden in the hostel and separate mess for each of the hostel.

Senior students are very helpful and if you talk about the alumnies, some of them are playing big role in the development of the college because they have special attach for this college. If you in any problem your senior is stand with you in any situation.

For getting admission in this you have to first qualify the MAIN exam which are conducted by JEE. After securing moderate rank in this exam you will get this College.First you should qualify in this exam and after after securing good rank first you have to fill the choices in all the Nit's and for the various streams and according to your rank you got the branch and college. After getting branch you have report in the college also.

The senior faculty of this Institute are very good in knowledge but the main concern is about yhe contractual faculty. Some times contractual have not much experience about the subject so that subject gonna difficult for the student.one thing is that in this college the student who comes outside fro kashmir got partiality by the faculties which belong to kashmir.
