I believe assam engineering college is one of the best colleges in the entire state. It looks after the overall growth of students along with the academic performances. It also makes students feel at home with its vibrant environment.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is quite appropriate and interesting although the laboratories need modification and nee equipments. Thr exams were conducted on semester basis every 6 months. Sessional exams were also conducted in between the semester
Placement Experience
The placement scenerio of the college is not that good. 30% of the students of each branch are placed every year while the rest are left out due to less no.of companies attending the placement drive.
College Events
The college celebrates various festival like saraswati puja, vishwakarma puja, shiv ratri, diwali, Pre-christmas, bihu, etc. However the official techno fest of the college is Pyrokinesis which is usually held in the month of February for 4 days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was feasible in our times. H The odd semester fees was about 8000 while the even semester fees was about 3000. Being a govt college, AEC provide education to all classes of students at a low fee structure
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes we were blessed with the Ishan uday scholarship which was introduced in the year 2014 by the Modi govt. Some other students also availed the NEC scholarship on a yearly basis which provided an amout of 13000 per year.
Campus Life
Aec is full of extra curriculum activities. Be it sports , cultural, art and craft or debates. There is also a music jam club, a robotics club, many dance groups, various events to showcast our talents and the college week event
Hostel Facilities
Yes I've stayed in hostel. There are 7 boys hostel and only one girl's hostel. Hostel no.8. Hostel life brings back a lot of memories. Our hostel experience was very vibrant. From dancing and singing to bragging the first position in the annual parade competition, hostel 8 always proved to be the best.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors were very much helpful towards us. From getting us accommodated to hostel life, to teaching dance, drama, music, rally and parade, they were our guiding star. They treated us like their siblings and made the college and hostel feel like home.
Admission
Our admission provedure was carried out on the basis of marks obtained in Combined Entrance Examination conducted by dibrugarh university in the year 2014. A counselling was held for 2 days in which the students scoring higher marks were allowed to choose the branch they wish for.
Faculty
The faculty of our college was very dedicated and hardworking towards the betterment of the students. They try to explain each and every doubt regarding the topics in a easy and friendly way. They hold good knowledge of the subject and are highly qualified.
