GOOD CAMPUS LIFE BUT REQUIRE A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT

Only the faculty and curriculum could be improved. Rest the placement and other opportunities are good but could be better.

In first year we mainly learn the subjects chemistry, physics, mathematics which were also in +2. The main curriculum of our branch started in the second year. The languages like C,CPP ,Java and core subjects like data structures, database management system ,data analysis and algorithm, software management were useful in placements. But for placements you have to put on extra effort by coding on platforms like geeksforgeeks,interviewbit.

This year top companies visited our college for placements like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Samsung, Deloitte, Capgemini and many more. Mainly the companies have two kind of interview rounds- technical and HR. Prior to interviews, there is a preliminary round in which coding and aptitude questions are generally asked. More than 75-80% eligible students got placement every year.

The megafest is youth festival YUVFORIA . In this mega fest we have a footfall of around 3000 + from northern regions mainly. Other than youth festivals throughout the entire year all the festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm like Republic Day, Independence Day ,a whole week devoted to Gandhi Jayanti, Basant Panchami, and many more.

The fee structure is totally feasible as they are a fee charged on an income basis. The normal fee charges is 75000/annum. If the student family income is less than 5 lac then his/her half fee is waived off. In some special cases if the student is extraordinary or having good Cgpa his/her tuition fee could be waived off.

College provides a number of scholarship opportunities or studies loan for students. In the first year the scholarship criteria are is your +2 percentage and then in further years scholarship is provided on the basis of your CGPA. The average amount of scholarship is 10000 per annum.

Campus life is good. The gender ratio vary from branch to branch. As a mechanical branch there are mostly 3-4 girls and rest are boys. But in other branches, the gender ratio is like 40% girls. For debates, our college has literacy clubs and for sports, many events are specially organized.

Hostel facilities are good but the hostel mess is is not up to the mark but hostel mess varies from hostel to hostel. The hostel staff is very cooperative if you have any kind of issue you can share with them. In first-year rooms are 4 seater In second year rooms are two seater In third and final year rooms are single seater

Our college seniors are very great and alumni is also helpful. College seniors guide us from time to time regarding internship placements and campus life.

Firstly I fill the online guru Nanak Dev university counseling form and reported for offline counseling and there I got seat in water science and engineering department on the basis of my all India rank and +2 percentage. This institute is quite old and reputed this is also in my hometown.

We have approximately 20 hours of lectures per week including labs. Most of the teachers are ph.D. qualified but some of the adhoc faculty has done only Master's or M.Tech. The lectures didn't hold much industry experience or certification. For industry experience extra workshops or certified courses organised by our department.
