Remarks
NIT Hamirpur is a great college to get enchanted by the beauty of nature, there is so much of peace around as the college sits in the adobe of himalayas enjoying the perfect view and taste of nature, but yes the only drawback the college has that it is a bit remote with no railway and flight connectivity.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very much similar to what other colleges have with minor ups and downs. The semester has two set of exams one is mid sem exams and the other is end sem exams, so basically 30 marks out of 100 are your mid sem + 20 marks are for your internals + 50 marks for the endsem, the aggregate of these decide your final pointer in the subject.
Placement Experience
There are many companies which visit the campus during the time of placements like samsung, adobe etc. Students take part in their aptitute and the HR round seeking to get selected, apart from this companies come to take students for internship as well at the beginning of third year and also gives them PPO.
College Events
The college celebrates two main events one is Hillfair the cultural festival of the college and the other is NIMBUS the technical event of the college, there are many clubs which get together to mark the success of the event
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of the college is as follows, for semester the tuition fee is around 70000 and summing up to this is the hostel fee which is around 20000, thus summing upto 100000, i guess this amount is quite feasible as the living charges are very low, but the tuition fee is close to what other colleges have.
Fees and Financial Aid
There surely are scholarship opportunities given to the students who actually are in the need, monthly around 2000 rupees are given to the students who belong to the economically backward sections, apart from this they also get books from the library's book bank.
Campus Life
There are many departmental and independent clubs in the college, which has a good amount of members, who take part in organizing their respective events. There are two main events organised throughout the year. One is hillfair and the other is Nimbus, where different clubs come together to mark the success of the event.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni is really helpful, if you ever want to seek any sort of help, they will surely try helping you out. The seniors are really cool and understanding, whenever in trouble just reach them out and you'll have the problem resolved.
Admission
Getting admission to this college requires getting a rank in the topmost exam of the college thisnis JEE mains, to be the part of this college you need to hold a good rank in the rank list.Once you have that the seat allocation is done through a govt platform JOSAA.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is very good. They are very helpful and understanding. If ever in trouble or any sort of stress you can go and talk to the faculty, they will surely help you with the problem.
