The admission was done by josaa. The admission process was easy. Simply go to their online portal and submit details and required documents. NIT Hamirpur offers more than 30 programmes at UG, PG and doctoral level. Candidates seeking admission to any of these courses must appear for the respective entrance exam and qualify its cutoff. NIT Hamirpur offers a four-year BTech programme across nine specialisations in full-time mode. The selection of candidates to NIT Hamirpurs BTech programme is based on their JEE Main score. The centralised counselling process is managed and regulated by the JoSAA, based on which the candidates are allotted seats. The seat allotment is based on the college cut off and a candidate's preference for courses and colleges. Eligibility Criteria: Passed Class 12 from a recognised board in Science stream with at least five subjects and a minimum of 75% aggregate (65% for reserved category candidates), or candidates should be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12

Faculty members are mostly well qualified and have doctorate degrees. They have a decent experience. The student ratio is not that much good as some teachers were suspended. Although, the college is recruiting new faculty members. The course curriculum is the same as the other colleges have, in the first year all subjects are taught and from the second year core subjects are taught. The course helps students to grab opportunities and make students ready for industry. The coding culture is good. The semester exams are at a moderate level. Students are supposed to manage a CGPA of 7 so, that they will be eligible for all companies visiting campus. I opted for this course, because of my interest in it, and I was not getting CSE in decent NIT. Our college also conducts the annual tech fest of Nimbus and Hillfair which is very famous. The campus is surrounded by hilly regions and tourism areas. Scholarships are available for all eligible students.

Yes , some people get paid internship in reputed companies but that is only 15 –20% of the batch . Few take up paid internships from various online portals like Internshala, Letsintern, etc. Majority of students go for unpaid internships in reputed companies across the country

There is a sharp fall in the highest salary package offered during placements 2019 and 2020 seasons which stand 1.2 LPA and 4.25 LPA respectively. There is a fall of 13.06% in the number of offers made during NIT Hamirpur placements 2020 as compared to 2019. The percentage of job offers for computer science & engineering were 130.86% and 120.73% during NIT-H Placements 2019and 2020, respectively.

The college charges its students Rs. 1.46 LPA for B.Tech courses and for M.Tech it takes Rs. 94,100 PA. For more details you can go to our college website and check there. There is also a fee waiver criteria for economically weak students.

NITH provides its students with a wide range of facilities for their development. This includes labs, library, gym etc. 2nd best in Infrastructure.Good environment for study.Very good placement except civil (same in IITs also)Very humble, honest and nice local people.Himachali friend will be assset for tour guide.Good cultureLibrary, hostel, lecture hall etc are of international standard.If you want to go for government service there will be ample time to prepare.Excellent extra curricular activities.If you are north Indian then you will love food.Almost all faculty are Phd holder except contract based faculty.Good student faculty ratio.
