If you couldn't get any government college, then I will recommend this college over all the private colleges of West Bengal. This college will provide you good knowledge about the course and also enhance your personality. There are a lot of opportunities, which you will get after getting the admission in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good enough. It covers all the topics necessary for the specific branch. Also advance level education is available here. As it is autonomous college, therefore it takes its examination independently from university. There are two internal exams are taken during each semester which carries 30% of full marks. 70% of full marks is carried by final semester exams.
Placement Experience
If you are from CSE, IT or Ece, you will get a good package in good company. Placement for students of core branches are less, but they also get chances into IT companies. Also it provides internship, but it is less.
College Events
There are a lot of such events. Each year, there is fresher's party organised by student's council, in which different sports, contests, programs and DJ night have been organised. Also, inter-departmental competitions have been held. And the best part is HIT-K's fest 'Eclecia'. Eclecia is biggest and most beautiful fest among all the colleges of Kolkata.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible. About 50,000 INR is fee for each semester, which is not much for B. Tech. degree from such a nice private college. It doesn't include food and lodging. You must have to look for your own food and lodging.
Fees and Financial Aid
Heritage Institute of Technology has scholarship for students belongs to TFW category and who are residents of West Bengal. One can get education loan very easily from any bank for this college.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are too good here. It has many clubs for every activity. The world level club 'Rotaract' is available here. Also, NSS and BloodConnect is present for different social works. Apart from these, there are clubs for coding, dance, drama, sports and other things. Labs of HIT-K are comparable with IITs and NITs.
Hostel Facilities
It doesn't have boys hostel. Hostel facility is only available for girls, which is inside the campus. Rent is feasible. Mess is also available there, which has good quality of food. It has strict rules and regulations which all students has to follow. Boy's hostel is only available for 1st year students. PG's and flats are available nearby.
Alumni/Alumna
Environment of Heritage Institute of Technology is so friendly. Relationship between seniors and juniors is like bond between brothers. All the alumni are always available for guidance and any kind of help. There is no scene of ragging is here.
Admission
There are two way to got admission in this college, one is WBJEE and another is JEE-Main. Qualify any of these exams with good rank and you will get this college through counseling. I got 8514 rank in WBJEE 2017 and I got mechanical engineering here.
Faculty
Faculties are so good. There are so many faculties, which are from IITs and different famous universities. All are so friendly having guiding and motivating character. All the faculties got good training of teaching before coming in the classes of HIT-K.
