Journey of my college

In the end, I would just say that my college is best of all. I have many good and bad memories over here, mostly good though.

The course curriculum is extremely good as it covers all the subjects and topics within it which are required further for any competitive exams like GATE. Exam structures are also fabulous as they provide an insight into each and every important topics. Overall, the curriculum is sufficiently enough for the placements and for any exam which a student needed to go for.

Placements of my college is above Average. Many companies visit our campus for placements and internships. For my course, companies that arrived are LNT, Atkins, Shapoorji Palonji, etc.

There are many numbers of events that are celebrated in our college. One of the biggest events is Saturnalia which goes long for a week. There are sports event which is organised by our college like Urja in which different colleges take part and compete with each other.

Fee Structure is quite expensive as if compared with other colleges but the atmosphere and the academic study & practical make it worth every penny. Moreover, the placement record is also good of this college and the hostels are way better than any other colleges.

If you opted for any scholarships or educational loan then you need to get in touch with the registrar office. It's the main area which controls all these kind of things.

My campus life is tremendously good. I am having a great time over here. Talking about gender ratio, boys are more in number like 3:1. Extracurricular activities like sports and competition in robotics and debates also take part in the form of different societies which students join according to their interests.

Hostel lobbies and rooms are clean enough. Food is average. Room space is sufficient enough to live. Washrooms and bathing area are cleaned daily and the walls and structure are kept clean of all the dirt. Mess members are good in nature. Food is served on time and hygiene is maintained in the mess area.

Seniors are good in nature and support in many different ways. We get to interact with them by joining different societies and also they help us in the study area as they guide us with their own experience.

I got the admission in this college through my JEE main exam marks. I choose this college because it is one of the reputed colleges in Punjab. I opted the course Civil engineering because I have my interest in Structures and design of building components. I have only filled up the form which was released by Thapar University for joining the college and further based on my JEE scores my application was accepted and I got the admission in this college.

Faculty of my course is good. Each subject has three lectures per week plus the tutorial session in which the doubts related to the topic covered in lectures were discussed and also the numerical problems were solved. Faculty members are very supportive and friendly in nature. Although there are some strict teachers too but overall they also get along with the students very well.
