My Jourey with SCIT

As the course and the college is professional in nature, the curriculum was prescribed and customized by the Symbiosis group. The curriculum is well researched, easy to understand and designed to help the students get an understanding of the way the corporate sector actually works. Each semester explores industry-specific syllabus which is more focused on the IT and development in that particular sector.

The college has a separate well-functioning placement cell which assesses individual student's talents and effectively guides them through the process of recruitment. Well known multinational companies and news channels offer placement to students. The placement cell interacts with the leading players in the corporate world to provide the students with the best. Average packages are around 10 LPA and the highest packages go as high as 30 LPA.

Cultural fests and department-specific fests are held in the college. The college also organizes annual fest which is the biggest media fest in Pune and involves and invites eminent personalities from the industry to maximize interaction with the students.

The fee structure is a bit expensive but the facilities provided in the college, like TV labs for media students and moot courts for law students, make it all worth it. The fees are higher for those who take admission through the management quota but the structure of fees is all transparent. The fees can be submitted through online transactions, demand drafts, and cheques.

Campus life in SCIT provides you with an all-round experience of development. The crowd of the college is also diverse and helpful. The college also remains active in extracurricular activities and there is a wide range of societies for students to explore and polish their talents.

I opted for this college for my course as it is one of the best colleges in Pune. The reputation of the college for its academics and professional faculty made me choose this over all others. I took admission to the college through the SNAP exam in which I scored a decent rank and the seat was allotted to me in the third round of counseling.

The faculty of the college includes professional journalists and knowledgeable experts who give a helpful insight into the industry and its working. They efficiently mix textbook knowledge with the latest technology to make learning easy and interactive. Presentations and videos are shown to simplify the process of learning.
