Good College

The negative part of my college is the location. The location where the college is situated is a little side of the Kolkata. So,the locality near the college was rural and roads were bad. But the last year of my graduation the road started getting well by the government and the area started developing.

There are a lot of courses available in the curriculum. Also there are course of B.Tech,BME and M. Tech. In B. Tech itself there are whole lot of branch are there.The main branches are CSE,IT,EE,Mechanical,Civil,EEE,Bio medicals. So,There are lot of courses available for the students to choose according to there choice. The exam structure are same whole around the MAKAUT. There are 8 semesters total in a four year course of B. Tech. Each semester have a University exam conducted by the MAKAUT and in between the semesters there are two Mid semesters exams are conducted based on the courses.

The placement of the college is excellent as compared to other college in the same University. In my own branch about 90 percent of the student were placed in reputed multinational companies. Around 50 companies have visited our college for computer science department. The highest package of my department was 11 lack per annum given by reputed company Intel.Many more reputed company like Microsoft,Amazon,Wipro,TCS,Informatica visited. The other branches have also very good placement record. Top branches are CSE,IT,EE,ECE,Mechanical.

It is very important to have a very balance education and life balance. There are various activities other than education are done in this college. Some of them are sports event, Technical fests, Cultural Fests, singing,dancing competitions etc. There is also a quiz contest happens each year and very famous all over the colleges. There are various college take part in each fest and give good competition in the events. There is also a large ground famous for the football and cricket event.

Feasible fee structure as compared to other college. The fee is very genuine and low as compared to other college of same types of educational facility. The fee is less than 4 lack for the four year btech course,which is very less as compared to same kind of college.

There is a scholarship offered by the college but that was only for the underprivileged local people of West Bengal. For them the fee was almost negligible as compared to normal general candidates. But if any student is eligible for any kind of scholarship by their state or governmental body then the college do not stop it for that. Even I have got my scholarship even I am from different state. So,it is up to the candidate if he or she is eligible for it or not. College support scholarship for the students. Also there is a PNB bank which provides loans to those who are in need. I have taken loan from the bank with minimal interest.

There is a large sports ground where cricket and football is being played. A lot of tournament are held in this ground. There are labs for each and every departmental subjects with whole lot of facilities like instruments,computers,and other things. Also each lab have two assistants who are available all time to help and assist them at any problems. There are a good gender ratio in the class as well in faculties. My class have gender ratio of about 3:2 boy to girl ratio. There is no any kind of racial or religion intolerance among the student. The place is very friendly and good.

I had not opted for the hostel. There is no any hostel officially for this college. But there was under construction going on for the hostel. The thing is infrastructure going to be good as I had seen but the food is main concern. The food available will be Bengali and the can be little negative for the north Indian people.

The best part of the college is the alumni network of this college. It is very strong. Each and every year an alumni meet is held in this college with lot of enthusiasm and cheerfulness. It helps the current students to get more knowledge about their future life and get motivational focus on their study. I have attended all four year meet and believe me this day is the best day of the college. Alumni from all over the globe come on this day who started from the same place where you are from. So this is very inspirational and good.

I got admission here by my WBJEE entrance exam rank. I got here my department of Computer science which is said the best department of the college. If a person having WBJEE rank around 8k can get CSE branch. So,admission process start with the online counselling process which is after the result declaration of the WBJEE exam.After getting this college,I visited the college on given date and I filled a form and done the very easy and systematic process in the college. There are around 4-5 process which are done on the admission date. A lot of helpful person there for the help regarding the process and all. Overall the process is fast and done in around 2-3 hour.

The faculty of the college are highly qualified and most of them have done Ph.D in there course. So,they have deep knowledge about the course. They are very friendly and clears doubt of each and every student. Also faculties are good in speaking Hindi,Bengali and English. So there is no questioning about the lack of understanding of the concepts regarding the course.
