Remarks

Postive: Weather Location Natural beauty Negative: Local students didn't support India. They avail all the Facilities of india government and always make hate speech about india among the student. Laborious student will become politician after joining nit srinagar. instead of engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course structure is well and good for each type of student. i. e. for average students. Mostly of the lab are not modified with advanced technology. Best weather condition helps to create sleepy environment.

Placement Experience

2

Due to location mostly of the companies didn't want to come in our College. Placement is average and now a days College trying to provide internship but not for all. job opportunities is quite high but only for j&k students.

College Events

2.5

Techfest, alumni meet, freshers party and many more. A few College is available in the valley and mostly of the student didn't want to come in the valley due to security and present situation of the College so we get less gathering in any events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite same as in all nits. You will have to pay approx (65+15)k per sem. If you belong to gen and income is 5lac+ If you income is less than 1lac then tution fee will be waived. You have to pay 17k per sem for mess. And 1600 for hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, College offers good scholarship. If you are working on any project the professor will help you in both the way technically and economically. Some of the professors want to explore the College image but not all.

Campus Life

3.5

There is only one common hall having capacity of maximum 200 student. All the events and extracurricular activities organise in this small hall. Auditorium work is in progress. Mostly students didn't want to organise events due to lack of sponsors.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Your hostel will change every year. 1st and 4th year hostel is quite good. But 2nd and 3rd yera hostel is not in better conditions. Wifi is available everywhere but speed is average. You will have to compensate 4 students in a room. That means you are not going to concentrate your mind on study.

Alumni/Alumna

Mostly 3-4 alumni are active for making alumni contact. they didn't work more for efficient future of new students. Senior are helpful in nature. Mostly of them try to look like superior in the College to make their expression. They help us more then ecpection in any critical condition.

Admission

First clear the jee mains examination Apply for counselling Choose the College according to your jee mains score card Wait for counselling result You will be notified when you will get the College of your choice

Faculty

2

Nost of the faculty are contractual and they belong to same reason. There is a lack of knowledge and they are not familiar with College environment of other part of india. They treat like school. Facility should be have more skill as respect to present situation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
