Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good and keeps on updating. There are 8 semesters and 6 theory subjects in each semester except 4 subjects in 8th semester. Additionally there will be lab and workshops in each semester according to the curriculum. In addition to this you have to complete a design project in 6th semester and a main project in 8th semester in respective stream to get the degree certificate.
Placement Experience
The job opertunities in College is at a high graph when comparing to the other engineering Colleges in Kerala. Adobe, Oracle, Fleet etc. are the high paying companies so far. Also MNCs like TCS, Infosys, CTS etc. managed to find more than 100 eligible candidates from the College each year. Also an internship is made compulsory for the students during the course. Saint Gobain is one of the major internship providers.
College Events
Dhwani and Drishti being the biggest fests of CET which are cultural and technical respectively. CET is the host and they have thousands of participants. Along with the events conducted, there will be proshows which are main attraction. Also, Disha, the competition among first years, Sargam, inter year cultural competition etc. also happen every year. College election is also a big name for the insiders. Along with these, most of the national and regional fests are celebrated here grantly.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is so acceptable even for a lower middle class student. It requires only 8700 tuition fee per year and exam fee, while other self financing College students pay more than 30000 a year
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a lot of scholarships. Gems scholarship, MCMS, FFE, KPCR, MEA etc are examples. Also it easy to get educational loan from the College. The scholarship amount is from 16000 to 40000 per annum and given all 4 years
Campus Life
There is IEEE, RoboCET, SAE, NSS, H2O and a lot of other clubs in College. The Baja team consistently participating and winning prizes. The workshops are well designed. Although the number of female students is less in campus there is no partialities found anywhere in my knowledge. There is no complaints of race, religion discriminations.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel have a peaceful atmosphere in which the students are amazingly united. So no internal issues are there in the College. The best food and accommodation facilities are available in the College hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni is helpful and alumni federation is called CETAA. They are the major sponsors of many events and initiatives in College which are really helpful for the students who currently studying. Plenty of modifications are done in College infrastructure and facilities with the help of alumnis.
Admission
We have to write KEAM(Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance)-Engineering. After that, there will be a single window allotment process. According to your rank in KEAM and the options you given in allotment process, you will be alloted a course in any of the College under Kerala Technological university. To get admission in CET in general merit, your rank should be under 2500.
Faculty
Faculties are well qualified and good in delivering lectures. The faculty student ratio is very good. Also there are a number of technical and non technical clubs which have an interested faculty coordinator in charge.
