Remarks
Every college has some good side as well as some bad sidesm. No college including IITs is perfect. So at last I also admit that my college is not the best but itstgood enough in every aspect and it will be better if we students work hard for the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very impressive. There are lots of important subject whick will help us in the industry work. Exam are tough enough. The syllabus is quite lengthy also. Labs are so good and particularly for me it's not that much boring as the long theory classes are.
Placement Experience
The on campus placement record is very good in our college. As Haldia is an economically growing city and there are lots of factories, so we get a chance to grab a job in core companies like HPL,IOCL,Johnson Controls,Yokogawa etc. And giant IT companies like Infosys,WIPRO,TCS also come and take a lot of deserving candidates.
College Events
As other engineering colleges, We also organise lots of festivals. There are annual cultural meet, dance competition like Rang Milanti, Auspicious Paradigm, Extravaganza etc. Every year we conduct Annual Techno Management Fest Prayukti,Riviera,technical competition like Armegadon etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is totally inexpensive. Semester fees for 1st year is 39000/sem per semester,40000/sem for 2nd year,41000/sem for 3rd year and 42000/sem for 4th year.Hostel charges are also low (12000 per semester).
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan facilities are available in our college. Even economically challenged students get fee waiver. Scholarships are also available but for that we have to score good in the scholarship exams. I don't have a detailed information about loan facilities as my family is economically stable and didn't need any loan till now.
Campus Life
Gender ration in our college is like 65:35 where boys have the majority. In our college we have some famous organizations' student chapter like IEEE,ISA,ISOI,IETE,CSI etc.They conduct workshops frequently to keep us updated about the modern technologies. Economic status of our college is too good and now this has become an Autonomous college. The campus is totally politics-free.
Hostel Facilities
As I am a local student so I haven't opted for hostel but as many of my friends stay in hostel so I know a lot about that. Hostel rooms are big enough. In the 1st year it's mandatory to stay along with two roommates. From 2nd year it's not mandatory. In this locality, PG's average rental is rs.1200 for a single room.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior junior relationship in our college is very good and bad both. Those students who respect their seniors and behave accordingly occupy the good relation. On the other hand, there are some bad mannered students also. But sometimes, it's not always a Junior's fault. Some seniors are also rascals. Alumni network innour college is very strong as we conduct Alumni meet every 2-3 years.
Admission
I appeared for West Bengal JEE exam and secured 39k rank.Then I went through the counselling process where in the 1st round I got another college but in my priority list that college was at the bottom so I waited for the 2nd round but again I got the same college but in the 3rd round I got this college which is far better than the previous one so I opted this course.
Faculty
The faculties of our college are well educated. We have sufficient numbers of experienced teachers in every department. They are very much helpful and little strict also. They always think about us and give advice to become more attentive.
