College provides a very good academic platform along with a lot of extracurriculars. On the whole it is very chilled out. You get all the freedom you want. The north campus offers a great environment for learning.

The course covers a vast syllabus. It is equally divided into theory and practicals. It can go from chilled out to some hectic days. Usually it gets hectic during exam times. Labs become a daily thing in the second year.

Job opportunities are less for science students, increasing in arts and commerce. Still you can easily find internships. There are placement cells working, job fairs happening providing a good base for opportunities.

There is lot going on in most Delhi University colleges. Everyday you can find different cultural events happening. Apart from the annual fest there are societies which bring a lot of different events. There are societies focusing on technology, social work, gender equality and the list goes on and on.

The fees is very much affordable. Average is 10000-15000 for each year, everything included. This might go up for courses like physics which is 22000. It varies from college to college in University of Delhi.

There are scholarships offered with a certain percentage as criteria. Under this a sum of 60000 is given to students every year. There is usually not a need for loan because the fees are not very high. Different state governments also offer scholarships.

Extracurricular activities are very vast. From acting to social work there is a society for nearly everything. Labs are very well equipped. There are sports events all along the year and good sports facilities are provided. There are students from all over the country so the environment is very accepting to all the cultures and orientations.

The hostel seats are very few and you have to apply separately. There is a separate cut off list for hostel. It also considers the distance of your hometown and college. The rentals are nearly 80000 including food.

The alumni network is very helpful as students go in all kinds of fields. They are some very famous alumni linking to Hansraj college. The seniors are very helpful and provide good guidance to students.

The college releases its cut off lists. If your class 12 board marks satisfy you can visit the college for admission. There are separate category wise cut off lists. You need to keep all the original documents ready.

Teachers are very qualified and helpful. Everyone is capable of teaching all the subjects, both theory and practicals. The main focus is on the curriculum and focus on research is less during bachelors.
