the college has much experience to get with good facilities the main problem is less accommodation facility is offered by men’s hostel of college which makes many students to depend on other accommodations college has many active clubs

CET is a college under Kerala technical university and 99%of colleges in kerala follows KTU’s curriculum and it consists of 50+ papers including 10+ labs and 1 project and papers have both external and internal evaluation while lab and project has internal evaluation only

Placement Experience

placements arrive from all across the world offering good packages and there is an internship cell run by students for internship major placements are from IT sector while there are also placements from department cores and stipends are available for postgraduate merit students

College Events

there are many events called 3D DISHA,DHWANI,DRISHTI.DISHA is the technical and arts fest for freshers.DHWANI is the arts fest of the college with participants across the country.DRISHTI is the tech fest of the college like dhwani and there are seperate fest for every department and some clubs

Fee Structure And Facilities

8000 per year exam fees apart 200 exam fees per paper and initially a PTA fund of 7000 bus fund of 1000 and in total around 21000 for general and OBC students while SC and ST students have no fees

Many scholarships offered by college like HOPE, GEMS, and many more also fee wavier are available for toppers and there are many private scholarships offered by private institutions are available and there are government scholarships too

we have an indoor stadium one basketball court and a large ground with teams in every sport like cricket, football, handball, volleyball.etc and nets for cricket and softball have very modern facilities labs too.

we have an alumni association called CETAA college of engineering trivandrum alumni association which take part in many events by sponsorship and active support seniors are very active in every program and they also teach the juniors to lead after thier graduation

Admission

I got good rank on Kerala engineering entrance examination on my first attempt still it can’t get me to my favorite course so i got into an entrance coaching center and i once more appeared to the exam and score better rank and i got into CET

CET is the best college in the state so it has the best facilities it has seperate buildings for seperate departments and having every lab with fully functional tools an indoor stadium a vast ground a big library and separate library for seperate departments

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
