My experience in college

College has best in academics and sports. One can enjoy his life if he is well planned. Campus life is very gud. No one say no to anything. Fests,college hall days are best to enjoy. Academic pressure is quiet high in some departments. Only negative is in some halls mess food is not that gud. u need to eat outside and this college is situated in a village far from city.

Course curriculum is very good. Proffessors provide you with the best courses trending in the world. They tend more towrds research so one can enjoy the course. Also for those who are interested in research area can contact respective professors and can start their projects once they approved it. Regarding lab professores are strict.You need to attend atleast 90% of labs for sure else u would fail.You need to work hard in labs,no chilling strictly.Yes,some.labs are chilling bust most of them are hectic only.

Placements are best in our college and also internships 50% students can get incampus internships.Ofcourse the best companies come to our college for intern and provide quality intern with good payment. 95% success in placemets rest opt for higher studies or research. Regarding compaines nearly 300-350companies come for selections You can google them in our college website iitkgp.in. Stipend is quiet high 20k-200k(monthly) for internships 50K-350k(monthly) for placements

Technical -kshitij We say its the asia's biggest tech fest because funding and participation is very high in this And events are also well planned in a structured way and you can enjoy max(those who are interested in tech only).All over indian colleges take part in this fest. Cultural-spring This is most colourful fest and most awaited,enjoyable fest. Partication is quiet high from kshitij coz this is cultural fest.

Fee is feasible.It is varied from student to student depending on parental annual income Parental income vs fee <5lakh.30k-50k <9lakh.40k-80k >12lakh.100k-130k And yearly scolarships are given to merit students For sc,st tution fee is waved so hardly u need to pay 35k per semester.

MCM -merit scholarship 50k per semester is given to merit students And also their parental income should be less than 6lakh. Sc,st schoarships are also provied Apart from these campus provides nealry 30scholarships which u can find in iitkgp.in website. Loan avaibiltiy is there.once u enter into college the first thing they ask is u must have a sbi account in kgp and provisional loan is given for every student.

Male and female both are given equal priorities in sports separtely. Anyone who are interested in respective sports can join in gymkhana(our sports center) And get selected in respective sport or game when selection happens. There are around 50societies for overall development like for tech,social,cultural,fun.Society selections are there for those interested can participate. College is well diversed and freedom giving.

Hostel infrastruture is gud(better than many govt college). Hostel rooms are spacious only. We have nearly 18 hostels for boys And 3 for girls.Mess food is not that gud in some hostels. Many hostels comprise of 2shared rooms,some 3shared,some single. But u have nice playground and u can enjoy ur day there. For pg students rent is paid from campus only there are provided with montly scholarships.

Alumni play a vital role in college. In placements and in student development they play key role. They help us in every way to give our best in college,you can also take fundae from.them. Seniors are helpful in this,you can ask them about academics,games,societies,research scope etc, they give u beat advice.

We need to write two exams to be in this college and ofcourse there is merit wise alloting. I have got a decent rank so i got selected into this college. U need to get below 250(oc rank) 120(bc rank) 75(sc rank) 40(st rank) This college stand in top 5iits and also top 5 colleges of india. After getting selected admission process is quiet simple u just need to attend nearby iit and give a approvement letter and pay some acceptance fee. Here at the accepting centre they give u complete details about ur preference college and make preferences acclrdingly. Hence,u can get into iit.

Faculty are very good,you can say awesome.They are super qualified from well-known universities with phd degree and worldy research papers. When coming to course area only 60% proffesors show interest in teaching rest are more focussed towards research only.But you dont have ny load in any semester,they complete syllabus in time and give ample time for exam preparations,provide u with best study materials and good reference books.
