College Review

The college has unique infrastructure and faculty which helps the students to get prepared for sea life. There are hostel facilities for training programme. The college has different playing as well cultural arenas for the students to explore their inner talent. It has a swimming pool too.

The course curriculum of the college is being maintained by Indian Maritime University. The course curriculum is based on the knowledge that is required for a student at sea. There are semester exams which are being held twice a year June and December. Apart from this there are class tests which let the students to judge their own aptitude.

The college has wide network with the companies. It guarantees placement for each and every student. Even the college provides internship. The stipend for students will depend upon the company he/she is in.

There are many events that are being celebrated in the college and it allows all other colleges to participate. One of those is TRANSTECH in which innovations of students are being displayed with the help of models and paper presentations. There are cultural events that are being held every year such HORIZON. Being a part of the cultural and technical events helps to increase in the employability index of the student and thus placement of the student.

The fee structure is quite expensive. There are different fees structure for different courses. For a student doing Bsc Nautical Science it is around 13 lakhs for 3 years and for a student doing Btech Marine Engineering its is around 17 lakhs for 4 years and for a student doing Diploma in Nautical Science it is around 4 lakhs for 1 year.

The college provides scholarship to the top students in name of the founder. This is being given in each semester as per the result of the semester. The college has collaboration with the HDFC bank which helps the student for the loan.

There are few girls in the college. The college has a huge workshop which helps students to gain practical knowledge. There are different labs for performing different experiment and gaining knowledge.

The college has hostel facilities. If a student needs to do any of the courses he/she needs to be in the hostel. This helps the student to prepare mentally and physically for sea. The hostel and mess fees are included in the total fees of the college. The college provides every basic thing of the student's need.

The alumni network of the college is very vast. Most of the alumni of the college are in highest post of the shipping industry. Recently there was a alumni meet held in the college and these seniors briefed about everything a student will face out at sea. These seniors are very helpful about economical as well as social things.

The college has it's own entrance examination and interview i. e. TMISAT. Once you clear the test you need to clear an all india basis exam IMUCET. After considering both the merit list comes out. There are three main courses of the college. Bsc Nautical Science (3 years). Btech Marine Engineering (4years). Diploma in Nautical Science (1year).

Most of the faculty of the are master mariner and qualified chief engineers. These faculties have already experienced the life at sea so they are the best to guide a student are the future Mariners. The faculty members takes care physical mental and emotional health of a student and even they guide to get through the campus placements.
