Remarks

Everything is positive as per me. there is overall an engaging environment and balance between studies and extra curricular activities. the administration is well managed and there is a body for any kind of help for students.

Courses are provided by Calcutta university one of the best well known faculties are there who constantly monitors performance. BCom courses and curriculum is awesomely designed keeping in mind the present market requirements

Placement activities were not offered when I was studying but now the college has started that too, placement assistance are provided by well known it and bps farms other than retail and other sectors.

Cultural events are held in grand way in this college. The college is a very well blend of cultural, activities other from academics, students take part in all such events, its well known for the yearly fest, freshers party, seniors juniors come together to make it a grand success every year.

Alumni network is not well developed till date. you can find many well known scholars,professors and famous personalities who have passed out from this college. i would strongly say alumni is not there in a proper way and needs to be cultivated as it's very prospective and helpful for all students

Exam, form fill up and short listing upon merit, list after list are published purely on merit basis, after which if ur name is shortlisted they will call you for form fill up. which a lenghlty process, and takes entire day.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
