It's best college to express and explore each and every field you are interested. It provides all the necessary platform. Whether you are from rural area or high profile society, you will be treated equally by this institute. And one more thing, I want to add that is bonding. In college like IIT kharagpur where there is a large number of students and so many societies, you will have a very strong network after your graduation. Bilieve me this is gonna help you each and every stage of your life whether you are in college or graduated.

It's very good place. In most of the engineering college students don't get the opportunity to perform labs and all. They don't have equipment or faculty. So they only get the theoretical knowledge but in IIT kharagpur,you will get so many labs and faculties to explore your experimental knowlgede. Their are large numbers of heavy machines and we get opportunity to perform our labs there. The environment here is a little bit competitive but that should not be problem if you want to win the race. I like it very much.

In IIT kharagpur, many MNC companies come in every year with a handsome package. Its almost 90-95 % get placement from campus. I am also placed this year in CBS techno,Japan which is a manufacturing company in Japan.

1). Spring fest (most awaited cultural fest in IIT kharagpur for which each and every student of college get excitement because after a heavy load from college they get the opportunity to enjoy together in concern and get opportunity to interact with many outsiders from different college who come in spring fest. 2). Kshitij (Asia's largest techno management fest where students form all over India come to showcase their talent in field of Robotics, case study and many technological events and get the opportunity to meet and enjoy with many celebrities).

It's quite bit expensive. But if you pay the fee, you will feel worth of your money over here because it's government college and many facilities and programs are beneficial and helpful for building your career in every field you want.

1). NSP(National Scholarship portal):- It's the scheme run by central gov. Under which many poor student get help to make their career in right path. This scholarship is for student having family income under 6 lakh or they should belong to ST/SC /OBC. There are so many states schemes too under this portal. 1). NSO (National sports organisation) :-This organisation of institute provide so many facilities to student to enhance their talent in each and every sport IIT kharagpur. Many of us don't get opportunity to play in school time due to lack of school's management, family restrictions and all. But when you come to college you want to explore everything of your interests. So this organisation provide a perfect platform for these kind of people. 2). NSS(National social services) :- In the weekend we as part of NSS have to do some social work in nearby areas of IIT kharagpur. We go outside of college to help poor family by teaching their children, for providing them food. Sometimes we also make temporary road for them so that their children can go school. So this organisation made us responsible citizen of this democratic country

Yes. We have a alumni cell in IIT kharagpur. It conduct alum meet once in year in the month of January. So they invite complete batch of a particular year. Suppose they will invite batch of 1995 and alums of that particular batch come and shares their memory of college time and all. They tell about their struggles in life and we get opportunity to see our future somewhat on the same path.

I completed my 12th from Gorakhpur from a semi gov. School. My family condition is not so good. Thats why I could not get the opportunity to go to kota after my 10th. I went to kota for the preparation of JEE. Cleared JEE main and Advance in the same year with a hard work and dedication. It was my family support because of whom I get all the moral support needed in between and got admission in IIT kharagpur. I am really grateful to have a family like this.

Most of the faculty is so knowledgeable that sometimes we don't understand what prof. Is saying. But I like those faculty whose way of teaching is according to student. They are so good that they will treat their student as their friend but not all the faculty. They have a vast field of research background as well as teaching progression. If you want to do MS from reputated college of UK /US, they will provide you the beginning stage of your research interest.
