Kerala Entrance Exam of 2005, Chose mechanical engineering as option and got Marian Engineering College.

Course Curriculum Overview

Mechanical engineering is great to study. Above other courses, ME opportunities are wide. Our professors were educated and helpful.

That time some IT companies came. I got Job after completing BTech.

About 2 or 3 got placed from our batch because those companies were IT. Like Wipro.

Onam celebrations, Christmas celebrations were held. Our tech fest name was thejaswi.

I got educational loan from canara bank for Rs 2 lakhs, for 4 years.

There's no gender ratio. All are equal. Our labs and workshops were well equipped and teaches were very helpful.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
