Review of studying quality & job opportunities

Again the quality of studying is great but the opportunities of core stream to get job in their specialized branch is extremely rare. You have to be depend on your luck with your skills. They don't ever entusiase us for thinking on innovate ideas.

Undoubtedly it is the core branch of engineering, mother branch of stream like ECE, CSE, AEIE. Regarding research & higher study it is one of the widest branch. But the job opportunity is tougher compare to modern IT sector.

The rate of placement is good in my college. But sorry to say, all the opportunities are solely based on your knowledge based on CSE. Only IT companies approval are available. Talking about internship, I'm now in my 4th semester & I've not any idea about what internship is & how to approach it.

There are individual cultural & technical events like sports, drama, quiz, debate etc. There are also events like fest organised by some department & the most important is our annual fest Eclecia. But it is postponed from last 2 years.

Fees are very much high in every semester. Everything is found in replace of money. The things are categorized based on money instead of value. Price at canteen is extremely high with poorest quality & quantity.

Sorry to say, I've been rejected to get any kind of scholarship, as according to the college administrative body I'm belong to TFW scheme. But nowhere it was mentioned that a TFW student will not get any scholarship. TFW is solely based on WBJEE rank & family income.

Ratio of boy and girl in core stream like EE, ME, CE is nearly 10:1. In CSE, ECE, IT, ChE it is like 60:40 & in BT the ratio between boy & girl is nearly 20:80. In core department there is severely lack of girls compare to boys.

Our seniors are helpful in many many things. At the beginning of my college days when I didn't know anything they helped a lot from the very first day. But again I'm saying that the alumni are really careless about students career.

Through WBJEE examination (rank 6181) by counselling (in TFW scheme). I've got HITK in 1st round in my present branch, but I upgraded for 2nd round & in that also the result was same. Then I locked this.

The departmental faculty members are really great & helpful regarding teaching. I've no private tutors. All the concepts I've to clear itself in college. But talking about non-departmental subject & professors teaching those are sometimes careless.
