Remarks

Positive remark is that infrastructure is good, provide good library facilities and also facility of various sports are available to students. Many indoor games are also available. Also clubs, events, fests are praisable but negative remark is that management is not good, timing of classes and labs are very odd which waste time, also no separate time for particular sports. Also there is scope to improve library facilities with latest edition books as many books are of very old publication. Also some teachers are very wierd and look like they know very few things and just due totheir degree they are hired.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Well my college is an autonomous college, so it's examination pattern is different from those belong to west Bengal board. There is mixed faculties who take classes and lab and college focused more on theoretical subjects, so definitely at the end of the day, you will be tired, as the management may be more good enough if they work strategically and allot well qualified teachers, there is mixed bunch of teacher with old classical teaching methods, no stress on understand but focused on completing course, well labs are good in that regard, but not all labs are same, here also some focused only on completing course. Examination pattern is good in this regard but still lot of chance for further improvement, our college conduct regular test semester wise and in mid semester. Also practical lab conducted regularly, so examination pattern is okay and can be praised.

Placement Experience

2.5

Yeah students got job but. If students belong to today's generation branche like CSE, IT, ECE then lots of companies will be interested but for core branches chances are very few, very few core companies came through Placement cells but on the other hand a good hand of IT's company came in need of hiring freshers. Basically companies like TCS, Wipro and some new startups and local companies came like Kirti technology and others. Also, some marketing companies also came but they choose very few students. Also it's not like no core companies came but they come and took 3-4 students, companies like Godrej and some other also come. Our college doesn't provide any internship or stipend.

College Events

3.5

Some events are organised anually like Freshers party and fest and also sports competition took place, well some technical fest also held focused on new innovating technology to provide helpful competition. Cultural fest also held like dance and photography and of other activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well good thing is fee, it is in the reach of middle class families, fee isn't too high. One good thing is that college is not thrive and Don't demand money for unnecessary things, it took normal semester fees and examination fee for each semester along with one time admission fee, library fee and miscellaneous charges with one time refundable money. So, it's a good point of this college, also fee doesn't hike too much. For first te it took nearly 80, 000 to 90, 000 fee which includes admission fees and one semester fee alongside other miscellaneous charges and tuition fee for each semester range between 45, 000 to 50, 000 plus 1200 examination fee for each semester

Fees and Financial Aid

No, our college doesn't provide any loan or provide any facility to provide loan to needy students. But, college keep students up-to-date about any government scholarship and scheme for economically weaker sections to grab the opportunity. Also, our college doesn't waive any fee Apr provide scholarship to any toppers or anybody.

Campus Life

3.5

Extra curricular took place anually which includes fests and party. Gender ratio is well balanced for computer oriented branches like CSE, IT and ECE but for core branches classes are boys dominated. The whole college has one exception of Bio-Tech Branch which is girl dominated. college has many clubs which focused on dance, photography, painting and also social Rotaract clubs. Students from all religion and race are free to join college with no obstruction on religion related dress or any other dress till it doesn't violate any sentiment of other. Students from all backgrounds can be found, one who joined just because of fun and some who are laborious and try to succeed in their life. Overall atmosphere is good except on few occasions when politics interfere.

Hostel Facilities

3

Our college does provide hostel facility for both girls and boys but only for first year and for students of other years hostels are only provided for girls. Hostel building are good with proper electricity facility with 24 *7 water supply and wi-fi. But mess food is not of that good quality which can be praised. Hostel buildings are spacious and provide ambient space for recreation activities. Average rental is ? 4000 per month and for PGs rent remain varying between 3, 500 to 5, 000 per month

Alumni/Alumna

Our college is not so old that lots of alumni network are available, but still on few occasions there is alumni visits, but student network is quite strong who help each other regular on many different issues. Also senior help their junior from education related things to club participation and to choose where to live. So seniors are quite helpful in that case and clear almost every doubts of juniors.

Admission

I got my admission through wbjee, a common entrance exam for engineering entrance in colleges of West Bengal. I gave the exam, got my result card and sit in the counseling process, I want to choose civil engineering from beginning so I chose it, well I didn't get very good rank otherwise I opted other good college but still I got what I got. So, I sat in the counseling and I chose my desired branch and I got it, henceforth I got admission in my college by submitting admission and tuition fee. well, this college is private college so, definitely price will be higher than other government college but still it's not too high, an okay for middle class.

Faculty

3

Our college have mixed bunch of faculties, some with high doctorate degrees and some with just degree in master's. So in this regard our college lag much behind, some have vast experience and some are experice less. Few faculties really show much energy in teaching and made the learning experience very good, but some just read lines from their notes and made engineering class like some history or geography class. Lab technician are much better in this regard, they know their job very well and can explain everything details elaborately without any doubts. So there is high need of replacing some teachers with new energetic teachers who can made engineering class look like engineering.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
