The climate around college provide a positivity the climate most of the time is cloudy or fogg we call it as kooda. College is one of the best college in kerala. provides good education and campus placement.

It a four year or eight semester course with eight public exams students if they scored mark 22. 5 or above in internal exam and they have attendance 75% or above are only allowed to write the semester exam

I'm not well known about the placement in government engineering college idukki but they provide placement. more orientation programme, placement test, etc. But the no of students getting placement is comparatively low

The main events happening here is the Tech Fest. The name is "advaya". The seventh advaya is going to happen this month(2017 september). Advaya is the National level Multi-fest of Government Engineering college Idukki, Kerala. The previous versions of advaya was collaborated with many cultural arts and technical programs. Usually conducting for three days. Other than advaya there is other programs like arts, sports, special day celebrations like Onam, X-Mas, Holy etc

The college is controlled by government so the fees is much low than private self financing and government controlled but there is around 8000 rupees in an year as fees but it is reasonable by cast it has changes

E grantz is one of scholarship provided by Kerala government to us it is really helpful to us we use it to buy books our study materials and to do our projects monthly and annually it will credit to our bank account. Several scholarships like MCM, egrantz, center sector etc. Loan facilities also available. Several other scholarships are given by various institutions.

Campus life will be memorable for entire life. The nature itself is so romantic here. Gender ration is around 50 : 50. All extra co curricular activities are available here. The labs are well equipped with all needy. Sports annually conducted at Kulamavu ground

Here Hostel facility also available which is also very cheap. The rent for 6 months is only 1200/- Rs. In this food is not included. But Mess and canteen available. Well equipped boys hostel and ladies hostel inside the campus. Home stay are also available outside the campus.

All the alumni students are coming and meeting every year on the alumni day. All the previous students are in good designation under prestiogios companies in different metros of world. GECIAN (government engineering college Idukki alumni association) is alumni group of geci. Seniors gives good help for our careers. Good interaction between senior and juniors in campus.

The faculty are very supportive and we'll qualified the are too strict in study's and they are not ready to give mark for free they only allow we to write exam if we secured the desired mark. In my college all the facilities are mastered in their respective subject. They are very familiar with students so Students can disable their difficulties easily. They give proper guidance for subject and career.
