Honest College Review

Positive remark is college is having good crowd. Student live happily with others and also there is no ragging or any riots. Negative remark of college is alumni is weak. If alumni is strong then the average package of students will increase. Also there will be good funding for college.

The course curriculum is under Savitribai Phule Pune University(SPPU). The university decides the course curriculum. We have 5 subjects every semester with termwork for 3-4 subjects and 3 practicals for second, third and final year students. In one semester there is one In-sem exam of 30 marks and End-sem exam of 70 marks with 3 practicals of 50 marks each. The course structure basically focuses on theory part rather than research. We have to do research on our own college does not provide much exposure. The Labs are there every day for 2 hours. Generally a day has 4 lectures of 1 hour each with one practical of 2 hrs. Its quite hectic for a student.

Our college hosts two events. One is ALACRITY it is the biggest college event celebrated in the month of february. It has many events starting from technical, sports, cultural events. It spans over 3-4 days. It's a very popular College event in City. Many students come from other colleges to attend in this event. There is DJ Night in evening of this event. Second event is inter-deparment event. So every department celebrates by organizing interdepartmental competitions in the month of september.

The fee structure is feasible to almost all the students. It is divided based on categories of students. Suppose General category student have to pay 85000. SC,ST have to pay half the fees. Also there are scholarship provided by the college(EBC). College also provides loan to students who are not able to pay fees at one time. The college fees is for year. Every year the fees structure changes but it depends on student in which year he/she is studying.

Our college provides EBC scholarship to those students whose father's salary is less than 3,00,000. College also has loan facility to those students who are not able to pay fees at one time. Loan is given from bank of baroda.

Our college is always forward when it comes to sports. We have won inter-college cricket championships a lot of time. The sports department provides all the equipments. There are different cultural societies depending on branch. Workshops are held to improve student skills. Every year college conducts these workshops. There are soft-skills sessions on different subjects organized by the college. Expert talks are conducted.

The hostel is very fare away from college so there is a bus provided for hostel students. The rooms are average. The average college hostel rent is almost 50000 for annual. If you're staying in PG it costs almost 8000-9000 every month. The college food is not that bad. Generally students eat food from college canteen. The hostels are on sharing basis.

Some of the Alumni are helpful as they provide internship and job opportunities. But overall the alumni network is not much strong. College hasn't maintained a good record of students of who have passed. If they have a good database of student record then it gives opportunities to our passed out students for giving opportunities to junior students. Senior students are very much helpful then don't have any hate with anyone. There are senior talks arranged for junior students regarding placements and higher studies.

I got admission in this college by my MH-CET score and merit. I wanted to pursue computer engineering so I opted for this course. AISSMS IOIT was my 24th option while filling colleges for admissions. So I got this college according to my score. Admission was simple, I had to give all the documents 10th,12th marksheets, CET scorecard, identity proof and all.

The faculty of college changes after every semester. So in some semester we got good faculty teachers. In computer department we have almost 4 Phd teachers and all other are professors. The guidance given by them is good. But in teaching part some of them teach better but some are just boring. Some teachers are very much strict regarding attendance and academics. Some teacher are biased towards some students. Overall the quality of our faculty is intermediate(Not so good and not so bad).
