Remarks

The environment of the college is very good. But now it became a university they should take a step ahead for updated programming languages and inviting more companies for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Yes, course curriculum and exam structure are quite relevant research-driven and fair in the collage. Collage takes two main semester exams every six months. Students get hall tickets for the exam. Having different PRN numbers provided by the university to keep out a unique identity. The college takes some preliminary tests practical tests in between. Which will help me to showcase my knowledge and study every semester? College also provides Industry training for last year students.

Placement Experience

4

College offers very good placement options for the student. Many multinational companies come here to place students. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro take their campus placements here.

College Events

4.5

Mahatma Gandhi's mission is not only a bunch of colleges it's a family. From 36 years having its own culture itself. So many celebration events happen here foundation day of MGM, Cultural events, Gathering, Ganpati making festival for Ganesh Utsav, traditional day,miss-match day, and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is feasible for any middle-class student. The college provides so many facilities in this much amount. It is much high to pay but now MGM becomes a university so their fees are increased. But they are also thinking about enhancing facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides scholarship facilities only to the SC and ST students. Not other government (EBC) or (Punjab Rao Deshmukh) is provided. Students from other casts like Open NT, OBC have to pay full fees.

Campus Life

3.5

The college takes many events for extracurricular activities like poster competitions and debates. Having different labs for different streams. Having good internet connections there. But IF student wants to just sit and enjoy there free time talking with their friends there is no place in college.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of our seniors visit college many times. They also motivate us. Shows good direction shares their experience of industrial life with us. Yes, they are helpful.

Admission

MGM's dr. G Y Pathrikar collage has only IT-related courses. The admission process is very easy here. The admission process happens offline here. The student has to get prospectus fill-up the admission form. Then have to submit that form with all necessary documents.

Faculty

3.5

Being a reputed college. The faculty is highly educated and supporting here. Work as a backbone of students. Having a very helping and supporting nature. There support and knowledge are not only limited to the educational life they also help student for making them a good person.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
