Remarks
Lacks wifi. Lacks proper transportation facility, lacks cleanliness, lacks proper places for students to do projects, lacks any support from management. But still the efforts of faculties are appreciable as they make up all negative points.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course tries to cover most part of theoritical syllabus. But it lacks proper practical exposure to students. Students gets very lass time as the timings of classes are from morning till 3:20. This makes lengthy schedule. But still students can do research as they will get support from some faculties. exams have a very strict schedule. 2 internal exams of 15 marks, 1 quiz of 5 marks, 1 surprise test of 5 marks, 5 marks for 85 percent or more attendance, 5 marks for assignment. These constitutes 50 marks internal paper. External paper is of 100 marks. The 150 total marks is converted out of 100.
Placement Experience
No it doesn't provides internship. Placements are average. Students gets good placements from off campus only. On campus placements is average. Companies like infosys and wipro is given most preference by the college. Very few good companies with good package comes.
College Events
Tech fest called as noesis, cultural night, alumni night, singing and dancing competition called rythmnova, sports day. In events only college students participate. They perform the dance and singing performances. Tedx event was organised this year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The latest fee structure is about to be 1 lakh 80 thousand per annum tuition fee. Canteen fee is 30 thousand and hostel fee is 30 thousand. Overall 2.3 lakhs is expected to be annual expenses. It is little bit higher than what it should be.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship facility is there. If you are having highest or second highest cgpa then per year you get 12 thousand as scholarship. There is no scholarship else than that. It is rare to get reduce fee for a specific student due to his or her financial problems. No support from management.
Campus Life
Cricket, football, volley ball, basket ball, singing, dancing, drama, socail work, green club, red ribbon club like clubs are there. You can be part of any club and get refreshed after a long tiring academic schedule.
Hostel Facilities
24 hours water and electricity is provided. 30 thousand per annum is cost. Three people per room is alloted. Infrastructure is good. But no wifi is provided. Hostels are cleaned regularly. There is no commom room or tv room. Network problem arises and thers is no wifi.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni are helpful. You need to talk to them and ask for advices. They will provide you all information and advices. They generally comes on the occasion of alumni meet. You can talk to them personally on any matter. I talked to gaurav sir, who got admission in iisc bangalore through gate. He always gives advices which is motivating. So i keep in touch with him in whatsapp.
Admission
My jee mains rank was below 80 thousand. In ojeee i filled my first choice as silicon institute of technology in computer science and engineering. I was selected. Then i had to come to college to fill other formalities.
Faculty
Facilities are supportive. You can ask your doubt to any faculty even if he or she doesn't takes your paper. You can do any project under any facultuly. There are faculties working in their research works or projects. You can join them and learn a lot of things.
