Good placement opportunities and companies coming for recruitment is increasing year after year. College is providing internship on every branch available and also as a part of clubs and programs such as tequip

College Events

Technical events is an important thing in an engineering college. Dyuthi is our national level techfest for 3-4 days and art festival is conducted by college and also by some groups such as Oasis palliative group.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is as per govt norms. As it is a government college fees is very low and also grants and scholarships are available for students such as egrantz,stipends. Exam fees is also very small amount.

As it is a government college no loan facilities are offered by the college itself. But as I mentioned earlier scholarships and grants are provided as per government norms and it also includes the exam fees

Campus Life

Very much supporting staffs for extra curricular activities. Special department is also there. Every week there will be some sort of workshop offered. Actually there is an inner competition between the cultural societies as there is some numbers

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is the paradise of the college. It is shared by two students. Decent spacious room and common bathroom. Spacious and creative corridor is the main attraction and all facilities are nearby. If you are not satisfied with the hostel several private hostels and pg are available nearby itself.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is the backbone of the college. Every one now having a good position in engineering field will be definitely an alumni of this college. Their groups are providing funds for the infrastructure development of the college

Admission

Got entrance rank conducted by kerala government and then secured a rank which this college will admit. It is completely through online process and selected as per merit list and thereafter counselling.

Faculty

All faculties are the best in the field as they are selected by government by conducting exams. So they are rich in information about the subject. This make students easy to understand the portions easily

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
