If you only love to study then join. If you want your overall growth then please don't. They only tell you how to get marks and jobs. If you only want that then enjoy. But personally saying, I didn't enjoyed my college day's.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculam was under MAKAUT board. The curriculam is backdated just like other engineering college in west bengal. Teachers were very serious about classes, labs, assignments, unit test and viva. But there was lack of quality teachers whos interactivity attract student towords classes.
Placement Experience
College took a huge money (more than 4 lacs) and then they use our coution money for our training. It was very disappointing. No internship programme were arranged. We had to arrange our 3rd year training programme on our own. Placements for IT were good. TCS hired the most no of students. But there were no core companies, not one.
College Events
Annual technical fest arrenged by the technical club of the college is the only event celebrated in the whole year. Only IT department celebrate their Alumnus meet on their own. They reach to sponsors and collect fund to celebrate the programs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Hign enough. According to the quality of infustrucure and quality of the educational programs the fees are quite high. 50k per semester. so overall 4 lacs only for semester fees. Then there is exam fees, training programme charges, room rents and food( no hostel) etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Nothing at all. College didn't provide anything at all to the good students. Only PWD candidate got some benefits as it was the rule of the MAKAUT board. Personal loan and educational loan was all parents had to arrange on their own and I think thats the only way. I am not aware of any college who provide loan to student's.
Alumni/Alumna
There was no network though. But students have faced different types of behavior from seniors. Some faced bad situations and others like us had very good relations with seniors. But there were some cases of ragging, fights and even police cases but they were minors.
Admission
I gave WBJEE. Accordingly I submitted my choice of colleges in online counciling. It was my 3rd choice in my listing. I got selected in NetajI Subhah Engineering college. It was a reputed college and I decided to join.
Faculty
Teachers were qualified enough but not as teachers. They were infact good students in their student life. But a good student may or may not be a good teacher and in our case it was the second case. They knew enough but couldn't deliver to us. Classes were not that interesting rather they were boaring and tourtures.
