My Review

The only down side is the campus and hostel life. You wont get to see that hostel craziness or great campus vibe. The campus also doesnot holds a playground within its premises however a football ground is assigned in its name. Sometimes the roads near the college gets muddy during rainy season and you wont like that. However roads are being built. Overall the campus is good but is small as compared to other private engg. Colleges with one floor holding one department.

The course followed here is standard and upto the AICTE standard. The college is NAAC accredited and AICTE affiliated. So the course structure here is good. It follows the GATE syllabus pattern. Labs are frequent and each week 3 hours of lab classes are assigned for each subject. The college is not so resrarch oriented itself but gives you the permission and support to collaborate with other institute for research program such as CU and JU which are centrally funded institutes.

The overall placement record is good. The college being under Techno Group recieves the perk of large pool campussing and many mass recruiter come and take students in large numbers. The placement is generally done by IT industries and the core sector doesnot take much student. So students studying in dept. Like IT, CS, EC, EE are benifitted much. The college also allows for long term internship( 6 month or 1 year) in the last year of course. However students can opt for short term internship and courses during sem breaks. The college supports students in terms of providing training facilities to grow the placement rate by conducting classes on programming language and aptitude sessions. Students interested in research can collaborate with other institite through the assistance of faculty and carry out their work in collaboration with other institutes.

The college organizes its annual cultural fest and annual tech fest each year which encourages inter and intra college participation. Apart from that each dept. Holds its own cultural fest such as alumni meet and various other fests along with an annual freshers fest. The crowd depends on the scale of the fest. For annual fests the crowd is huge and auditorioums are booked and for departmental fests the stage is set within the college premises. The robotics club hosts the technical fest named avenir that allows paticipants from everywhere to compete in various robotics events.

The fees in feasible. Those coming via WBJEE or JEE Mains have a fee of around 4lakh for 4 years and for TFW candidates the fee is around 2K per semester. So candidates who have applied via TFW( tuition fee waiver) are eligeble for this. Direct admission students too ahve the same fee apart from the initial donation amount. Overall the fee structure in feasible and flexible for all sections.

The college doesnot provide loan facilities however the loan can be taken from the bank. The college supports students who recieve scholarships from central bodies or organizations. I have availed the annual scolarship from railways as my father is a railway employee.

The gender ratio is healthy. The college holds its annual sports meet where students from every dept. Competes. The sports meet holds various sports tournamnets like badminton, table tennis, carrom, chess, football, cricket e.t.c. The students are involved in various extra curricular activities such as robotics, poetry, painting e.t.c and there are clubs to recognize the talent.

No. The college doesnt provide hostel facilities. However the college in surrounded by Mess, PGs and Flats that offers accomodation in cheap rates. The broker will guide you to all the available accomodations area and as per your requirement. The total average expenditure is around 7k ( including rent food and all other expenses)

The alumni network in good but not always at your disposal. You have to contact with the concerned teacher and mention your issue and they will guide you to the respective alumnis. However during the annual alumni meet you are free to interact with the alumni.

The admission is generally made via WBJEE and JEE mains. Those qualified or having a rank under the above mentioned exams are eligible to apply. The application is done via official website of the exam conducting bodies ( also known as the counselling process). Just enter the college in your preference list and after the rounds of counselling you may end up in this college. Direct Admission is also applicable but that is subjected to the availability of seats.

Most of the faculties here are M.Tech qualified with 30% being phD. The most unique part is that the teachers here are friendly and are available everytime to clarify doubts. In my ECE dept. The teachers are well qualified and have a good subject knowledge. The only down side is the language barrier which is not massive but you would frequently end up watching teachers discussing in bengali and then you have to remind them to continue in english.
