Overall the college is very good and if you are diligent and hardworking you will definitely get a job from this college.

The course curriculum is the same as in all engineering colleges but some necessary and helpful changes have been made in the curriculum so that the students are able to get jobs no matter the situation such as courses like java, python, ML, Robotics, and basic professional ethics and management skills have been added.

The placement of the college is around 70-80% on campus but many students are placed in pool campusing. Most of the recruiters are IT companies with some reputed core companies also coming for the recruitment drive.

The main tech fest of your college is Prayukti where many tech enthusiasts from various colleges take part in different events. Each year mare no of events are added to the previous list of events but some are more famous than others such as ROBO WAR, PUBG, ROBOTICS, etc. Every year around 1500-1700 students participate in it. The annual cultural meet of your college presents different opportunities to students to showcase their talents. There are various events in it such as Classical dance, Western dance, Poetry, Shayari, Classical Songs Rabindra sangeet, Band performance, Recitation, and many more. Every year around 15-20 students are selected amongst many other students for performing in a single event.

The best thing about the college is its experienced faculty with such a low fee. It's 40000 per semester and some registration, security, library, and sports fee has to be given in the 1st sem itself. The college accepts cash, NEFT/RTGS, and any other online fee payment option. The fee breakdown is quite transparent.

No, I have not opted for any scholarship program or any education loan but many of my friends did. The state governments have portals regarding loans for higher studies and the central government has a PM scholarship scheme and many other schemes for a scholarship. People can visit and see if they are eligible for it and apply.

The campus life is quite brilliant for most of the students as different events such as Nukkad Natak, Rang milanti in which various acts are performed. Different departments of the college conduct different technical and non-technical workshops such as in Robotics, Cad Cam, IC Engines and events such as chess, pubg, quizzes, fun from junk, etc were conducted recently by the mechanical engineering department. They are also different student chapters of international societies such as SAE, IEEE, IETE. There is an official NGO Samarpan of your college organized and managed by students which provides study materials, food, clothes to the poor and also teaches them in free hours on campus. The Gender ratio is around 2 girls for every 8 boys.

No, I have not opted for the hostel as I have a relative living quite near to the college. There are around 13 hostels for students 4 of which are for girls. Different hostels have different sharing, some hostel has 2 students per room some 3 and some 4 but the maximum is 4 students per room. The rooms are well ventilated and properly lit. The hostel provides messing in its campus itself for which students have to pay on monthly basis. The quality of the food is not that good but it's satisfactory. The hostels have indoor playrooms with carrom boards, chess boards, table tennis boards, and a community hall with a large TV for watching cricket matches and news plus a gym facility nearby in the college. If you're not into hostels and prefer to live alone there are PG's and rentals available very near to the college for cheap it starts at around 2000 per room and all the basic facilities are given.

The senior students and college faculties jointly organize alumni meet so that the students can gain helpful tips and get guidance from their seniors and the alumni also help in funds if you are participating in huge competitions such as formula Bharat Or Supra Sae.

HIT Haldia takes admission through WBJEE and JEE MAINS. It's one of the most prestigious private institutions in the entirety of West Bengal well accredited by NBA & NAAC(A). After clearing the entrance exams you got to wait for counseling where you have to choose your preferred colleges and then the college will release its range of ranks that it will accept, if you are within the ranks then congratulations you got the admission.

The faculty are very helpful and knowledgeable, most of them have done their Ph.D. from reputed colleges and are able to clarify the doubts efficiently. They provide relevant information required for interviews and some helpful tips which may be useful in your future jobs in various industries.
