Remarks

Just the temporary campus doesn't make us feel home so it'll be good if we get our campus sooner. And the faculties we have paid for must be provided sooner too rest all is okay. The faculties like labs etc are good and working net connection in labs help us to get feeded.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is good. We the students choose what to study and what not to, on the subject suggestions from the teachers. Curriculum being in our hands,we always choose the right mainstream thing which is important for is to learn for being a good engineer at the end. It's less research based because of it being a newly established institute but sooner we will have it too. Exams are a real frequent in this College. They test you thrice with 2 mid-sems and a end-sem Exam for every subject in every semester. Day schedule sometimes goes hectic rest being in an engineering College it's highly compatible to make time for yourself so It's good.

Placement Experience

4

Placement and job opportunities are good as being in the IT hub Pune. This year is our first batch yet to graduate out from the College but the companies who already have come and offered the packages made our College a brand with the name in its first placement itself. The best package we had this year was 22 lakhs offered to 3 students from GOJEK an international company who again offered 35000/ month in a 2 month internship to 4 people from 3rd year. Then many such companies having stipend above 7-8 lakhs were allowed to enter too like LNT,TCS etc. Yes College offers internship not to be done in the College itself but in other well established IITs/NITs/IIITs where the stipend is based on your knowledge and learning or completion of their projects.

College Events

4

The events we celebrate are many including the technical fests - I-CONCLAVE AND ENIGMA,sports fest - EKLAVYA, the cultural night, traditional day, annual fests, freshers,dj nights etc. Being in an engineering College we have many more opportunities to go out and compete in other Colleges in sports, cultural events, coding events etc. Except this, IIIT Pune is the South centre for the ACM ICPC conducted by CODCHEF. People from all over India come and participate in it where CODCHEF being a very large coding organisation working world wide and ACM ICPC being a world wide open competition.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is a bit higher than the normal government Colleges as this College is a PPP SECTOR established by MHRD. Tution fee here costs about 1.91 lakhs and all the other fees if included costs around 2.6 lakhs per year which includes the Gymkhana fee, annual gathering fee, sports, internet etc. Though being in temporary campus we don't have a proper internet in hostels and no gym but still we are managing till we get our own campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being in general open category is a boon which never allowed me to take scholarships though all other categories have the scholarships available based on their government of the state they belong from. Loans from the bank are also being included, College accepts every type of scholarship possible.

Campus Life

3.5

Cocurricular activities as mentioned above are good over here in the College. Being in Pune gives many opportunities to go and participate in events of every other College. Labs happen every week and work well. Sports was already being mentioned above. Gender ratios depending upon the ratio set by government as it is a government institute though number of boys has always been dominating here. Culturally people from all over India come here so this College has has highly diversified status where no discrimination is done among students regarding race, cast, color, religion, minority, background, ethnicity etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes I have opted for hostels. Here the infrastructure is temporary as we live in a temporary campus whereas our permanent campus is under construction. Though talking about the facilities, yes we have paid for the internet but right now we don't have it in hostel, again same for GYM equipments. Playful aura is cool. In our temporary campus we have a ground,a payed turf, TT tables etc. Are available! College funding for sports haven't stopped yet and yeah we are enjoying. Right now there are some residencies availing flats on rent. These flats generally come across 8000-12000 Rs. Rent per month for a 2BHK flat feasible for 4 people living together.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, as a junior I had my mentors in the seniors of College. In an engineers life exposure is very important and seniors never let you down. They stand with you in odds. Help as much as they can and guide us properly and so we do to our Juniors. Experience and the fun I had from and with my seniors were great in every field May it be cultural or technical. Have had seniors as teachers who taught whatever they knew technically in coding or electronics field or sports. Gaining the life experiences with them too.

Admission

It's a national importance institute established under MHRD 4 years back. Like all other IIT/NITs, to get admission in any of such IIITs too only entrance exam known is JEE. According to the jee mains ranks, JEE conducts a councelling consisting of 7 rounds at general and then the special CSAB rounds. So if you get it through jee u get it otherwise u dont. Generally the rank cut off Comes out nearby 30 thousands for CSE and 37000 for ECE of IIIT Pune (these ranks are other than the CSAB rounds). My rank was a bit higher than the required rank for CSE, so had no option and chose ECE for staying in branded IIIT with IT hub Pune. Then on merit basis, I changed my branch after the first year of my BTech.

Faculty

4

Faculties are good on average, some being good in knowledge and interested in teaching whereas some have many other tasks too like contacting the companies and bringing them inn for internships and placements so they don't get from their messed up lives sometimes, rest all is good. Sometimes when we choose a difficult curriculum, either our teachers learn and then teach us or there comes ab external faculty to teach us. Like in recent semesters we have been taught by a faculty from IIT Kanpur, IIITDM Jabalpur and some local well established Colleges like DY Patil too.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
