Remarks

College is good. Almost everybody gets placed. Academics is also teachers are not that good. You will surely enjoy your 4 years. Join as many committes as possible. Participate actively in various fests.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is average. Not very old not very latest. You will be taught java instead of python or Ruby. Labs are there but 2 students will use one pc. Lab days will be a bit hectic. Lectures are chill. Attendence is not a big issue.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are quiet good. Try to get a internship in 3rd year. You will grab a good job in 4th year then. If you are from Cs/It, average package is 10 Lakh. If from extc, etrx, expect 6-8lakhs. A lot of companies come to campus for placements. So dont worry, you will get a job.

College Events

3.5

Pratibimbh is there as a cultural fest. We have Technovanza as a Technical fest. We have Ieee for electrical students. We have TEdx for debates and monologues. We have Rangawardhana as a marathi fest. We have MUN as a literature department.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is quiet reasonable. Being in mumbai, college fees is not that high. 70k is anual fees. If you opt for hostel, its is 22k per year. And if you join mess, it is 34k per year which you can pay in installment. You can always opt for scholarships.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships going on in college. Schindler will pay your full college fees if you get selected. And mahindra is there, but their scholarship test is a bit difficult. There is a separate department for scholarship related work. Just be active during the initial months and get atleast one scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is not good. Dont expect girls in mech and civil department. Cultural fests are good. We have pratibimbh, technovanza, IEEE, Tedx and many other committees. Expect no politics in the college campus.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are just OK. Don't expect high posh living standard. In one room, 3 students used to stay. And you can choose your room partners. There are 4 blocks in Hostel. Seats are limited. Getting entry in Hostel depends on your CET score.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. You can go to their room any time and get your queries solved. There is no ragging in our college. They will guide you in fests and will help you to get the syllabus and books as well as pdfs.

Admission

First you need to study hard and score good in HSC as well as your CET. If you are preparing for JEE mains, CET wont be difficult for you.Iscored well in Cet. Then during councelling,Ihad to choose between coep and vjti. By bit of researchIChoose Vjti. ThenIwas interested in electronics so choose extc as my major.

Faculty

4

Teachers are not up to mark. Most of them are mTech guys. Rarely you will find permanent teachers. All the students study by themselves. Only Mech department has good professors. Also, expect google downloaded ppts in your curriculum.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
