Remarks

The College was very good and advice freshers to also join this College as it provides all the facilities and moreover job opportunities also. And it is situated in mountains, so it is quite a fresh environment there and so much peace.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I think the course curriculum was quite good because main concern is to provide theoretical, practical as well as communication related courses. I had language labs, and subjects like Entrepreneurship that helped me to gain practical and we'll required knowledge about different unknown topics. My exams in a semester were divided into 3 parts: 15,25 and 35 marks ; and rest lab marks. The exams and labs work were filled with excitement and energy, because I find out very well to prepare for these things and moreover labs gave me better understanding of the same topics being taught in the class. Motivation to go into reaserch field is also given to students. And I have also submitted a research paper in and International Conference.

Placement Experience

3.5

The job opportunities were quite good in my time. Almost more than 85% got placed in the job selection process, and many also got more than one job offers. Job chances were there for all the courses, whether it is Computer Science or Biotechnology. My College provide internship to only Biotechnology and Bioinformatics courses.

College Events

4.5

There were many events and activities being going in the College. Technical event: Murious and Coding competition Cultural: Dhun, Singing and dance competition Sports Event: Parakaram Management: Jaypee Youth Parliament, MUN Annual fest: Le Fiestus , this have singing, dance , comedy, rampwalk and many other activities combined , and also star performance. Sports , management and technical , all these events include students of different Colleges, and have huge participation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure I think was more as compared to other Colleges. Semester fees: Hostel fees : 45k Tuition fees: 90k Fees was more, but I will say the standard of provided facilities was upto the mark. Food provided in the mess was very good and kitchens were clean and quality of food was very good. And, fees generally is increased a little bit every year for freshers.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was a scholarship facility , but that was only for students who have their families income less than 2.5 lakhs. And as far I know, I don't think there was any loan facility from.the College. Fees were paid by online payment or Demand Draft or though bank.

Campus Life

5

There were many clubs and societies which provided opportunities to students to outgrow in parallel to the course. There were NGOs like: Omega Leo Club and Rotary club. Arts club, cultural club, disciplinary club, literature club, sports club, environment club, and other clubs. Gender ratio was average, like in my batch of 26 there were 8 girls. All the clubs used to organize parties and outing plans for enjoyment.

Hostel Facilities

5

I had opted for hostel. And will say that, definitely the hostels were well maintained and were having most of the required requirements. There were options for double and single rooms. And there many separate buildings of hostels, and for girls and boys being separate. There were security guards for every hostels and moreover had facilities like: heaters, warm water, drinking RO-water, vending machine.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of the College is good. There is one Alumni Club also of the College which works like a bridge between College and alumni. College seniors were quite friendly and very helpful based on providing support or guidance in any problem.

Admission

First of all decision to opt for the same College was that I had heard from him that the College is good. And, moreover as searching for a better College option, I find the College to be more appealing and good based on job opportunity and course provided. Admission process was based on the JEE-Mains rank. There was a combined seat allocation for all the Jaypee Colleges based on ranks. After seat allocation at that time, I got official confirmation of my selection 1 week later through mail.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of my College was more than average good based on their teaching and their interest in teaching more with interest. There were some of my favorite teachers also of different subjects which I think they are best in their particular fields.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.
