My college experience

The positive thing that if you want to live in the college, this is the best college. Because you have a lot of things to explore it. Transportation conditions is a little bit poor than compared to other college for other district students.

I think that it is on of the best curriculum we have. Recently new regulations are introduced and it should be very relevant to both students and other faculties. Exams are conducted in every six months, including two internals and assignments. Lab exams are a little bit difficult, even though everyone can manage it.

For the placement opportunities, the college is little bit backward. This is not because of students, the students in this college is best and hardworking. This is because of the college is situated in the remote area. Even though this is the condition, recently many students are placed in the TCS, Infosys, Qburst and so on.

In our college mainly three events are there. First one, the technical fest named 'Advaya'. It is the dream of every GECI student. This fest include project exhibition, robo race, maze runner and other technical things. It is conducted in three days and each night there will be some events in the stage like band and DJ for the refreshment of students. The other fest is cultural fest named "Kavettam" and sports event.

It is a government college, therefore the fee structure is affordable. At the time of admission we have to pay 8225 for entrance comission and 16750 for college. It include transportation facilities, two pairs of uniform, PTA fund and placement fund and so on.

Both state government and central government are providing scholarship to the students. The government scholarship named Egrantz is given for the student Which has the family income below 100000.the central scholarship is based on merit.

Sports and games are very good enough. As per other than studying the college give importance to these kind of activities. The students with the help of faculties different kinds of workshop has been conducted.

Hostel is necessary for professional students. I am living in a hostel named 'wisdom homes'.It is the one of the best hostel in idukki which can be affordable to me. The main reason for opting the hostel is their food. The food is so delicious and each day they will something different.

Actually the alumni members are the strength of the college. At the time starting the new academic year, the orientation class will be conducted for new students to reveal about the course and other things. From this the alumni members will share their experience that had been got from the college.

I have a passion to become a software engineer in my childhood.When I am studying in school, the friends are telling about software engineers and their lives.When I heard about this I am thrilled and I am started to work for my passion.This made me to choose this career. So after 12, I wrote the entrance exam. Even though the my result was low that I am expected, I got admission in Government college, Idukki. First of all, I am little afraid of going there. But when I reached there I am very happy to see a wonderful place. "It is likely to be a heaven". I told to my parents that I am studying here and they accept this and grant permission to me.

I don't know how to answer this question, that much good teachers we have. The teachers are like parents, Always they are standing with students with help and other things they need. The teachers are doing their job in a perfect manner without any hesitations.They are motivating the students about the career they chosen and its importance in the lives and in the society.
