HIT-K, as a student's desire

So, my college is a positive place to learn, create, grow and show the world your potential. The campus provides all the opportunities, you just have to wait for the right moment to have a grab on. Good place to enter the world.

The course circullum is designed by AICTE, which is a national body and it is quite old fashioned I would say. It hasn't been updated since 2000's.But now they are trying to bring in AI and IOT in the circullum which I find quite fascinating. Exam process is also the old way, two internals and one semester in a six month period.

Placements is quite here, almost everyone from every branch gets placed of he has some knowledge of the field l, but the harsh reality is most of companies which comes for placement are IT sector companies which has no jobs for the core. Internship opportunities are also there, with many entrepreneurs emerging from our campus.

There are many departmental events which are organised throughout the year by various departments in support of national and international student chapters like my departmental event "INSTRUMENTUM" is supported by ISOI. And then comes the annual fest "ECLESIA" which is a inter-college competition for everything from tech to cultural events.

Fee Structure is quite feasible 44000 for 6 months. The fee includes Library charges. Accounts charges etc. It is quite affordable for a metropolitan city like KOLKATA where other similar colleges takes lakhs.

Yes, there is a scheme for the TFW students, TFW is a category for the Students whose family income is less than 1.5 lakhs annually, they have to pay only 28000 for four years. This college is recognised by Bihar state loan council which helps a lot of students.

Well, the extracurricular environment is quite fascinating here you can start a new career from here in almost any field, we have models, actors, athletes, reporters and entrepreneurs blooming all over the country. Gender ratios fine, most of the chapters have a combined leadership shared by a boy and a girl, regular workshop on different emerging technologies are organised, and we proudly say we are a religion tolerant campus.

The seniors and alumni network is good, they are always available when you need them, they tell about the opportunities, the path they have followed and always a good smile to make your day.They provide us with internship opportunities too.

There are two ways to get into the college, through JEE MAIN and through WBJEE which are engineering entrance exams conducted for admission in engineering colleges throughout India and West Bengal respectively. HIT-K is quite reputed in eastern side of the country so the admission process is quite rigorous and you get branch according to your rank. Well I had option to get into ECE or AEIE, I chose AEIE because it's different.

Some of them are quite experienced and well versed in there field and they are always ready to help. They are always trying new techniques like digital board and interactive and feedback session to indulge themselves into our world of learning.
